Default SAUK Best Guesser Competition 2006!!!

May I present the 'SAUK Best Guesser 2006' competition!!!!! The winner will be presented with the honourable title of "SAUK Best Guesser 2006".

All you have to do to enter is:

Guess how many sweets are in this jar!!!

The competition will remain open for 3 days and every entrant gets ONE guess! You are free to change your mind up until the closing of the competition. The contest closes on 3rd July at 11:59pm.
The person who is closest to the answer will be declared the winner! You may not guess a number which somebody else has already chosen. In the event of a tie, the members involved must partake in an arm wrestling competition. If they are unavailable for this then the award will be shared.

The contest officially opens... NOW!

Best of luck.

Oh my gosh what a cool thread idea, why haven't I seen this before?

Anyway, lets take the logical approach:

I see approx 100 sweets in the pic, with maybe a further 15 behind the label. So thats 115 sweets in one axis. Let's say the tub is about 7cm across (can't tell!!) and each sweet is 1cm wide, so thats (1*7)*115 = 805, however the top of the tub narrows so lets remove a few sweets. 805 - a few = 799 sweets.

799.

Due to my original answer being highly unlikely to be right. I'm going to change my mind.
I think the answer is 0.
I think you've eaten them all and the photo was taken before you ate them!

hehe. Don't worry, it's not a trick competition! Although I should have taken up your idea! Although I'm sure it would have annoyed many people!

Now that would be telling wouldn't it? hehe

No one needs to get the exact number (that would be near impossible unless you were very lucky or psychic!) but the nearest number wins. So even if no one was close there would still be a winner!
