Gattaca - 8/10

Loved this film , taken a liking to Ethan Hawke now. Jude Law was also good in this, where as normally I find him quite annoying in films. Could easily watch it again now, loved the soundtrack too.

Gothika - 7/10

Ok film as it goes, bit on the wierd side. Best bit was end credits - Limp Bizkit version of 'Behind Blue Eyes' tune

The best bit of the film was one of the most atrocious cover versions of all time, and yet you gave the film more than one out of ten?

Brotherhood - I mistook this for the 2009 film with the same name that was about a gang of Neo Nazi facists in Germany. This instead was about a bunch of utterly moronic frat boys and some dopey hazing initiation that goes wrong and ends up with someone getting shot. The film happens over 1 night and what's going on gradually escalated more and more out of control. To say I loathed this film would be an understatement. Awful moronic storyline, awful moronic people, awfully boring and increasingly stupid film 2/10

Err kids film.. what was it called... Howard? Nope... Hugo! yeah well directed by Scorsese (??) not his normal genre but i had high hopes. I needn't have however cos it was shit. Ok it wasn't actually that bad but the two lead 'children' (stage school brats) were ****ing terrible. They ruined it to be blunt. Other than that it was good. Ben Kingsley is an amazing actor. Sacha Baren Cohen was good. But those kids.... blruughhh I mean **** me they got out acted by a Doberman that's how bad they were

Rating - 5/10, sans child actors 8.5

Vanilla Sky - 8/10

Really loved this film, I love a few of Cameron Crowe's films so this can be added to the list . All the way through it though I was just completely baffled, but it all came together at the end and I understood it all and had a little cry at the lift scene :'(. Waaaaaah.

Still need to see that, just because I love milies…

I spent last night watching black swan, pausing every couple of minutes to scribble down notes. I rate the experience 4/10. Today I need to do the same thing with Girlfight. Stupid degree…

Sherlock Holmes - the first Robert Downey Jr one

Pretty entertaining stuff as it goes. Not only is this Holmes an insufferable know it all, but he's also quite a hard so and so, though he uses his brain to outwit roughians in the fisticuffs department.
Still has more then his fair share of being slapped around which was good to see, as if someone like this actually existed in real life you would kinda want to punch him once or twice

8/10 (looking forward to seeing the second one)

Sweet Sixteen - 8/10

Bleak but gripping drama from the master Ken Loach. I actually recognised a lot of the areas of Greenock and Gourick where it was filmed, not seen some of those places in years. The accents take a bit of getting used to if you're not already familiar with them, though.

Carriers - Nice and bleak end of the world film, though I didn't really care about what happened to any of the completely unlike-able characters 6/10

500 Days of Summer - Really like this 8/10

Switchblade Romance 5/10 (on 2nd viewing)
Great film but crap watching it the 2nd time cos i know what happens. Its not one of those films with a twist you can watch again and are like 'oh yeah i see now'.

Miracle Mile 8/10 Very good 80's film, better than expected.

Reign of Fire 6/10 Bog standard action flick with annoying McConaughey but Bale makes up for it.

^ I actually found Christian Bale annoying in that (even though I like him in everything else) and thought McConaughey was hilarious! Gerard Butler was pretty good in it too!

Jawbreaker 6.7/10...can't quite give it 7 lol.

Writing was terrible imo but otherwise it was a good dark teen comedy film. Nnot as sick as Heathers which i couldn't even get through lol.

From Dusk Till Dawn - 7/10

I found myself actually liking George Clooney for once, as I guess he was pretty bad ass. I loved the first half of the film more, it did feel like two different films but it worked.

I loved the first half of that film, the vampires though were completely ludicrous.

I saw John Carter 3D. The 3D surprisingly wasn't worth it. I don't really know what to say about the film, a ludicrous story, confusing characters, plot with gaping holes in it and the cutest alien frog/dog like thing you've ever seen ! I loved it and at the same time wouldn't recommend it

Haha yeah but I guess that's Robert Rodriguez style.

Must of been good going to the cinema when it was out knowing nothing about it, then BAM VAMPIRES

I like the bit where the boat crashes and they all die. I also enjoy the part where she naked. Did not care for the rest.
