thx everyone

I did the right thing I think getting better in stages, its took me three years to feel ready enough to go back to work, the job is physically demanding but not mentally demanding, I've got motivation back again through working too, to think three years ago I could barely leave the house and stuggled, to now where I'm almost leading a normal life.

still not looking people in the eyes but if I look at thier eyebrows when glancing at them and talk as I am doing things and look at what I'm doing instead of looking at them, they cant really tell I'm SA

The job is part time which I think is best for now, hope to work full time later in the year with a PC support business my freind is starting up, gonna get myself a motorbike again and get back on the road

indeed

think you have to declare war on yourself and fight a hell of alot of battles, sometimes theres grave defeats and alot of time to lick wounds but you scramble your way out of the pit if you perservere, if I can do this I'm sure others can, just have a little hope, be as positive as you can and use your anger at yourself to drive you, worked for me, maybe not the same with others but I guess we find our own path eventually.

now I gotta work more on eye contact

told two of the employees I had SA, said its abit like shyness but have ways of masking it, the two employees were depression sufferers though and had time off for that so understood me abit

thx again everyone

went into the benefits agency today, got some good news, they give you £250 for returning to work if you are a lone parent and will pay my rent and council tax for the first month, thats £350

so £600 in help, thats a great insentive for people and a very good idea, working tax credit will help me and I will be £70 better off a week (including expenses for travel etc)

didnt used to get any help like that, thx good old gordon brown, keep taxing those well off earners on SAUK so I can reap the benefits

Oh dear....

I get laid off on saturday together with two other employess as the business is going up the spout and the owner will now be running the whole show practically solo, shame really as I made great freinds but the good news is they want me to keep intouch and still go out with them to places and kareoke

the whole thing has helped me realise how much more well I am and now I'm eagerly jobhunting for my next place of work

Nice one Remus, well done. Shame it ended quicker than you expected. Still, the experience of having done it and having been able to do it, is still very much yours. So here's to job hunting for the next thing. I'm exactly doing the same myself at the moment. Here's to all us jobhunters, courage and all the best
