Any one know what small groups/stuff i can do to make friends

Any small things i can try. I hope trying something small gives me confidence to try things that would make me shy now.

I like art, music and i do roller skating but i think i could try other sports cause of the weather and sometimes i don't feel like skating. I've wanted to try basketball but i don't really see matches around my area and i'm shy to play it, i feel i maybe need a friend to help me start playing it. I thought i would play it and learn it this summer but shyness stopped me.

I really don't know what i can do to make friends outside of college. I'm doing a levels so i don't think i have a lot of free time. Btw, it doesn't even need to be a sport.

Your college may have groups/organisations sponsored by the SU. The NUS website does have information for colleges as well as unis.

As far as actually making friends, I'm afraid I can't help you there. But contact your SU; I'm sure they'll be able to help.

You could try joining a local orchestra? As for sports, usually a college has sports club, and if not there should be local clubs for whatever sport you're interested in. From my experience, it won't guarantee you to make friends but I think if you keep going to a club and really try to talk to someone every time then you may well have some luck.
