^ & ^^ Thank you both - I felt really awkward at Alicante airport, thankfully on the plane I was allocated a middle seat and the window seat was empty so I moved to the window seat and didn't have to sit next to anyone and distracted myself by looking through the window. Had a lovely time in Spain thanks Olly.

Well done CC!

I've been on planes before, but I also recently went on my own for the first time (also from Spain!). It can be a daunting experience, particularly going through security.

Don't feel awkward being on your own on a plane - there's always loads of solo travellers on planes

Booked my first driving lesson. I've been having a really emotionally tough few days, but it's really helped to have ticked some things off my 'to do' list despite not feeling very strong. I also had a weirdly articulate day at work, where I was able to interact with everyone relatively easy. That was nice.

The definition of small, but I'm a complete procrastinator when it comes to sorting things out over the phone. I really dislike not knowing who is on the other end of the line! Anyway, I woke up and cancelled an expensive subscription I no longer needed. Get in.

I've been there! That point where you put the phone down when it starts dialling.... Sometimes I think, 'Stop being silly' and manage to get through it, but even now it still takes me ages (weeks!) to pluck up the courage.

I hope you have achieved something you are proud of today. It's the small stuff that keeps me going I find.

Called a local organisation called Teamwork Trust in Northamptonshire that my peer support guy recommended about doing some volunteering for them, fell over my words and got myself all flustered as usual (I really struggle talking on the phone!), but I've got an appointment on Tuesday to have a look round!

Not sure yet, I think it may be just some basic admin stuff, I just need somewhere to get me back out into the world and around people again, and from what my peer support told me, this organisation is catered towards people like me and others who may have certain difficulties, whether that be SA, learning disabilities, physical difficulties etc, and it sounds like they've got a good system going on there to help people's confidence

^^^ The lady on the phone just said come in and have a look around on Tuesday, I have a rough idea from their website of the sort of things I might do, it's basic work orientated around teamwork and cooperation with others (hence the name and why I'm looking at it ) I believe, admin, random assembly jobs for companies I think, that sort of thing

I don't know how long I'll be there if they do have something I fancy giving a go, but I just need some kind of starting place in terms of volunteering and getting out there and I'm going to discuss it with peer support again tomorrow, woop!

^^/^ Thanks, guys

I never ever text my friend first she's always the one to text me but yesterday I text her first to see how she was. I bet she thought I was after something or someone had stolen my phone.

I hate texting her first as I have no idea what to talk about but as she has spjust come home from holiday I thought I could ask her how it went.

Thanks, purplerose

Not sure if it's the same teamwork, but there's one in Kettering and Wellingborough too, from what my peer support said, they sound like a really good organisation for people who have difficulty getting out into the world and with other people which is why I'm interested in them

Had my car fully serviced, which is a load off, poor thing hasn't had one for two years. I had asked the guy to give it a look over for potential MOT failures too as that's due next month, erm ... yeah, which revealed quite a bit (wrong), but just glad that i've gotten my act together and am getting it all sorted before it's due date (unlike last year).

Also, probably a greater achievement, i shopped at the local supermarket just a moment ago/at peak ish time (what i consider to be anyway, it wasn't 'quiet'). I overcame the thoughts of potentially bumping into someone that i knew and just got on with it (sod the consequences).

I think I didn't end up attending years ago because it was expensive but I can't really remember much about teamwork to be honest, I may have to have another peak at what they helped with.

Cycled from Tonbridge to Hastings yesterday, 37.5 miles, the last 7 miles in the worst rain I've seen in a long time.... once I finally got there it was dark and wet and I had just enough time to catch the last train home!
(I know the thread title says "today", but I was tired OK, and my phone was dead!)

Moved into my new flat and cancelled my car insurance and saved £250 . A little nervous about meeting new flatmate even though he seems nice (which is ridiculous).

Got 2nd, 3rd and 4th places on different Strava segments on my bike ride today (I was wind assisted though, meteorological wind not my wind).

Good going, I used to think about using trains to extend my range with the cycling and see some newer places but I never got round to it and don't think I will now.
