I don't use the site myself though, so I don't know how comprehensive it is or isn't.
Thank you so much for recommending this site. I hadn't heard of it before but I think it shall come in handy in the future
If i'm watching a thriller or horror movie I hate it if the family depicted have a pet because I just know that it's going to become a cropper at some point and I can't enjoy the rest of the film. I don't care so much what happens to the humans though

Is tv like the Matrix, keeping people occupied while other people are getting away with ghings?

^ I thought that was the name of a telly programme for a moment. I wonder if there is a word limit on titles for tv programmes.

University Challenge

I hope they do a famous people one over Christmas

I love UC too, it's my fave! I especially love it when the answer is a planet and I get to shout out 'Uranus, Paxo!' at the TV (I'm easily amused)

I watched a bit of the QAnon thing on channel 4 last night (up to the first ad break). Looked like it might've been good.

I hate all TV at the moment. Everything is all just too TV-y. By which I think I mean some combination of taking itself too seriously / lack or excess of verisimilitude / everything just happening in the nick of time / including some contemptible actor / trying too hard to be the next big thing / too long / overwritten / has a movie-like aspect ratio.

Although I have been enjoying Bonding on Netflix, mainly because it's not very TV-y and is over in 15 mins.

^ well, at first I thought, “I don’t get it…”

The camera zoom ins and outs are really distracting in the beginning.

Anyway, I’m in series three. It’s compelling, but you can’t work out why. It needs to end at series four, it’s not one that can be dragged out for six series.

I’d recommend it, yes.

Was watching a new 8 Out of 10 Cats Does... earlier. Jimmy's new hairline is lower than the tax he paid circa 2010.

Thanks. I haven't watched a drama series since Better Caul Saul and before, that probably Breaking Bad, so it would be nice to find something engrossing!

^ the trailer for Succession put me off, it just looks awful to my eyes, with a load of obnoxious characters, and I’ve always struggled to warm to Brian Cox, as lauded an actor as he is. It must have something though, as it’s generally well loved. For me, post-BB, Suits was 6 series of pure gold, not a bad episode at all imho. Series 7 and 8 are also supposed to be good, although I haven’t seen them.

Didn't know it was based on Jeffrey Dahmer?

Didn't realise there was a tiger king season 2.
Seeing how no one is talking about it I assume it's crap. Check it out anyway.

Christmas University Challenge - the prospect of watching this is what has been keeping me going this week. I realise this week has only been about 20 hours long.

I've binged the first three series of mrs maisel thinking there was a fourth one already available on prime but it was only the trailer and not out until february
There's a lot of repetitious bits/gags that get tired very quickly but other than that i have enjoyed it. I love suzie, i wish i could dress like her.

I watched Eastenders yesterday and one storyline that I cannot get my head around is the Sonia and and her Dad storyline.

Some fella crawled out from nowhere, pretending to be her Dad. The charade has been playing out for ages. The thing that is confusing is that she is on good terms with her Mum. Surely you'd talk to your Mum about it or send her a pic of him, and she'd say, "Nah, this man is not your father."

Watched the 6 part Xbox 2O year celebration series covering the development, creation and turbulent history of the Xbox brand. It was good overall. Free to view on YouTube and own on the Microsoft store and stream on IMDb tv (firestick)

Watching the The Wheel of Time on Prime, sort of similar to Lord of the rings.
