I think I wouldn't mind Taskmaster if Alex Horne and Greg Davies weren't two of the most irritating and unfunny people on television.

I find 95% of the stuff on TV unwatchable. I also find most films unwatchable. Over xmas, about the only thing I could stand were repeats of Father Ted and University Challenge. I've also been watching The Singing Detective – the Dennis Potter drama.

I really think I could live without a TV now. Video games, youtube, podcasts and books are enough. The news just depresses me, so I certainly wouldn't miss that.

I don't watch much TV, it has to be said. However, I am looking forward to the new series of The Apprentice, which I believe starts on either 5th or 6th January...

^ I thought that was pretty good. Some very funny moments. Although it got a bit too serious and drama-like for me.

I enjoyed the recent Detectorists special. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen this, despite wanting to try this series for ages. I wasn’t disappointed. It was refreshing to watch a non-cynical comedy - I kept expecting it to take the piss out of the ‘geeky’ characters, but it seems to celebrate their hobby which is good and unusual to see. I hear the real detectorist communities generally enjoy this comedy too. I like a comedy that makes me laugh and give me a warm feeling.

The new James bond film on ITV at 8.

Motorboating with Merton and Webster on channel 5, 9pm looks interesting.

My husband and I randomly started watching that new dancing monsters show on Netflix. I thought it was going to be a total ripoff of the masked singer, but it's actually a bit different! I like how it has non celebrities on the stage, and it's really more touching to hear their backstories and everything.

The monsters remind us of Monsters Inc.

Watched The Pembrokeshire Murders,.
It was quite grim, but well acted and kind of interesting,

I've got a funny feeling that the lead actor was in the Hobbit films?
It's based on a true story of a re-opened cold case of a Welsh serial killer,
It surprised me to see Jim Bowen involved in it too

Also watched a short series called The Rules of the Game,
It seemed quite dark and adult, but ended up being compelling,
One of those ones you keep watching till it's finished.

The Detectorists - I can see why people on here are fond of this series, it's terrific. I wish I could be in the metal detector (sorry!) club at the Scout Hall, listening to a talk about buttons.

Watched 'Without Sin' a 4 part drama on STV player starring Vicky McLure from Line of Duty,
It was quite a good watch, I'd recommend it,
There were lots of very tense scenes, and a compelling storyline.

"Carl Panzram: The Spirit of Hatred and Vengeance" on Plex. Seemed like a nice chap. It was a pretty good documentary which didn't keep repeating itself every few minutes due to lack of content/research.

Boston Legal,
(I'm sure this series was first aired decades ago)
William Shatner is completely unhinged on it,..which is quite fun,
James Spader seems not too far behind, in the unhinged stakes, but plays it straight,

I'm quite liking Candice Bergen also,

It's in turn, manic, ridiculously non-serious and serious too,..
So, it's a bit all over the place in identity, and sometimes too fast-paced.
But some of the dialogue is refreshingly irreverent and very sharp.
