As a kid I used to sit with an Argos catalogue and a calculator, and tally up the price of every single thing I'd like but could never afford with my pocket money. If I was feeling fancy, I'd whip out the Littlewoods.

I'm watching Little Nicky. I'm not ashamed to admit that I kinda love this film.

Maybe a little bit ashamed

Being lazy on the couch. Considering selling my bum out to not be quite as skint.

I don't think it's the greatest idea that I've ever had, but hey ho.

I've not even scratched the surface - all i did was Google 'punch out online' and that came up. Sounds like it could be worth investigating. I may even go look for my TOTAL magazine collection up in the attic if i haven't already sold them ... i probably have though, when i went a bit ebay crazy years ago

Still, i've got a few years worth of Beanos up there

Reading the Punch Out review in issue 11.

It kinda amazes me that all you had to go on before purchasing a game was a few screenshots, a brief 3-5 paragragh review and a 'looks, sounds, gameplay, lifespan and total rating (out of 100)' end summary - that was before you shell out £45 on the latest release. I suppose you had Gamesmaster on tv ... i never really watched that though, i guess they reveiwed games. You could always coax a mate to buy a game you were unsure of, then if it were crap it would be their problem

How very dare you! There wasn't a scrap of smut to be seen i'll have you know! I do recall some of the next gen gamer mags having a bit of fluff about the pages, trying to sex it up a bit, but these mags - from what i can see - were very clean.

I've just sat down to go through them properly, i'm gonna indulge myself a bit. There was an Arthur Fowler (Eastenders) reference in the Punch Out review so i might be here a while

Making homemade pringles. In fact home made uber-pringles.

I gave up pringles so this gets around my pointless self imposed rule right ?

First batch went far better than expected and by the time I got them even near my container/tube I had eaten them. Second batch made it but not long enough to take a photo. Third batch currently cooking.

Brown noise is old hat, bring them here and I will slice them and make them into crisps. That is my life from now on.

The military researched brown noise as did mythbusters. Less messy than you would expect.

Crisps are my life from now on have you not heard ? My life, morning noon and night. Crisps crisps crisps.

I threw away a lot of other magazines too. Loads of issues of Official Playstation Magazine, and The One Amiga. I try not to think about it too much, otherwise I'd cry.

^ Ha! I guess they become more disposable when you're moving home. I see they're on ebay at around £10-15 (buy it now) an issue, but you can buy a bulkload of them for far less if you keep your eyes open.

I honestly did think i had sold them.

I did however sell a big collection of Beavis & Butthead mags which i'm a bit gutted about now. Meh, at least i've got these and a whopping great collection of Beanos!

Backing out of something tonight. It has of course been assumed its due to anxiety when actually I just don't want to go purely because I don't fancy it.

Sitting back and giving myself a break, whilst eating a bit of humble pie.

I did ok today considering. I behaved myself and did lots to help dig myself out of my self made rut. I have taken a laptop in for repair, it will give me a focus and make me feel like I am worth something.

I also agreed to meet up with an old friend tomorrow afternoon. For lunch out !!!! I know tomorrow morning is going to be stressful as I haven't seen or spoken to them in several years but I need to do something so this felt like a good move.
