I "disappeared" for a couple of years (I Think it was that long)

For no reason other than being bored of being in some sort of mundane loop. Not that my life had changed or anything, in many many cases I've not changed since I was about 15 (Unfortunately)

I must say it feels incredibly dead now compared to how it was before which is why I don't visit as much as I know when I come on there will only be a few new posts.

Maybe I'll drift away again, I'll still be "around" however..

I was here a couple of years ago under an alias. Then I rejoined a few weeks ago. Thought it seemed a lot quieter but dismissed that thought as me feeling much worse. So I'm glad to hear it is really quieter. Except of course not because what else would we do? Rather where else would we go?

I left for a goodly while - for years in fact, back in 2005? 2006? I had been messaging someone from here regularly but he def. crossed enormous lines out of the blue and scared me somewhat so I cut him dead instantly. Changed my email address and left the forum. He did track down my new email address unbelievably.

So after staying away for above reason, after awhile I just got out of the habit, then got a job etc etc and busy. I came back after a long period of bad sa. I can't really see myself leaving full time again, though lately I don't visit/post as much as it's so quiet.

I do kind of miss the old forum. I even used chat back then, have no idea what it's like now - busy, quiet, dead.

I post a lot less these days as my priorities have shifted to the offline world. I enjoy moderating the site though so I expect I will be here for a while yet. Can't really ever see myself leaving completely but you never know. Depends on where life takes me I guess.

Been on this site for over 10 years now but hardly ever post. Most of the people I used to chat regularly with have moved on and the entertainment threads seem to have dried up over the years so feels a bit empty now. Still come back here out of habit and some of the threads give good advice so not breaking away just yet.

I'm not thinking about if/when I will leave this forum. Even as I get better, I still intend to help others as I know what SA is like.

I'm sure for some people with really bad SA this would be their main source of social interaction, so I do feel bad for those people if some of the more active members were to leave.

I plan to stay until everyone's gone and then go mad like Will Smith in I Am Legend, making sockpuppet accounts and chatting with them. Then one of them posts on its own, and I'll be like, 'How did you comment on the latest world news, Fred? HOW DID YOU COMMENT?'

At what point do the board runners pull the plug and stop paying the hosting fee or whatever it is you do to keep the place up? Do you guys have a plan for what you'll do if the board becomes completely dead for a long period?

I don't think I'd consciously leave it, doesn't seem to be much point in making a thing of leaving for me unless there's some kind of addiction or other problem it's causing.

I kind of naturally drift away for a bit when life gets busier or more exciting without thinking about it. Suppose that could happen on a more permanent basis but it's not like I'd delete my account or anything, more just forget about it.
