Weather affects your mood
Does anyone else find that the cold weather affects their mood in a really negative way? I dont mind the dark so much as the bitter cold. A sense of calm escapes me and anxiety kicks in!
The only time I felt calm today was when I was in the bath and thats because I was warm! |

Yes I'd say it affects my mood when I'm stood outside scraping ice off my van in 0°c at 7.30am

^^ Don’t have arthritis but it sets off my neuropathy symptoms too. Nothing like having feet straight out of a morgue. Sometimes have to shower again just to warm them up.

Re: Weather affects your mood
Doesn't bother me at all. I'd rather be too cold than too hot.
I live on the coast and there was a really cold wind blowing today, on my walk. Unfortunately, it was back wind going and head wind coming back, so I knew once I turned around to come home, it was going to be right in my face. |

Re: Weather affects your mood
I think I'm the other way round. The cold and dark makes me feel cosy and I feel better. The summer months I tend to feel worse.

Re: Weather affects your mood
It's more the darkness that gets me down. Waking up when it's dark and having to get up.
I used to get really purple hands and feet in winter and I'd have to sleep with two pairs of socks and sleep in a sleeping bag, under a duvet! I'm a summer gal, through and through. I like Autumn as well. |
