Re: Recently turned 30
Some of my best ever times were in my 30s, and some in my early 40s. I know its a cliche but ts just a number Shy1987, I have to keep telling myself that given the scale of my number

Re: Recently turned 30
I know how you feel
I'm 31 and wanting a refund on my 20's, perhaps because I wasted them but the 30's dont seem to be going much better! Suppose it really isnt old in the grand scheme of things but! |

Quote:
I was determined to make my 30's better than the non-existence that my 20's were. I still am, but two years on – there's been no positives nor progressions made. Certainly not though a lack of effort either. I continue on just…'existing'. New decade – same old problems, unfortunately. I've acted on age-old advice of getting myself out more and have done this for around three years, now. Has it changed anything? Nope. It's just put a dent in my savings account with nothing in the way of life progressions to show for it. Yet, I see others having done the same (often less) than myself over exactly the same time frame, but taking enormous leaps forward. Go figure… Yet, people genuinely wonder why I lack confidence and self-esteem... Even some people who used to heavily criticise me, saying if I went out it would change many things for me, have since gone very quiet. The few who have accepted I'm making effort are seeing I'm doing what they've told me to do and that nothing works for me, but does for others (which is what I told them in the fist place). Even if I do manage to get somewhere in my 30's…what's going to make up for what's currently 16 'lost years' of legal/adult-themed lifetime progressions? It's an enormous gap in my life where I would like some resolutions and questions answering first… |

Re: Recently turned 30
I loved being 30, young enough to be a bit daft and old enough to be taken seriously.

Re: Recently turned 30
30 is a great age. I would love to be 30 again. But I will probably be saying the same about 40. Anything from 30 to 37 is good. My 20s were shite from beginning to end. Literally. from beginning. to end.

Re: Recently turned 30
I drank so much during my 20s I'm surprised I remember them although in terms of work etc I really didn't achieve much at all. So now I'm a 30yr old student trying to (hopefully) turn my life around but still not without the occasional glass of wine
