Re: Small things that make you smile
An old man walked over to me today and asked if I could put a hair clip in his two year old granddaughter's hair because he couldn't do it and the wind was blowing her hair all over her face.
Poor wee lass looked grumpy AF. |

Re: Small things that make you smile
I chuckle inside every time my daughter begins a sentence by saying "basically". It sounds wierd when it's coming out of someone who is 4 and a half.

Re: Small things that make you smile
Whenever there's an argument going on, even just jokey arguments and someone starts having a go at me, my son stands in front of me and starts yelling at them 'don't talk to my mummy like that!'
My mum's mentioned that whenever she complains about me when I'm not around, he gets angry and defends whatever it was I did wrong. |

Re: Small things that make you smile
Randomly bumping into a former colleague in a shop in town who I hadn't seen since she left at the end of last year. It was a really nice surprise as we were quite close.

Re: Small things that make you smile
I heard one of the best things I've heard in years today.
I went round to one of my old lady birdwatcher friends houses earlier... I can't imagine where she got this from but rather than saying ''I'll put the kettle on'', she said ''I'll jizz the kettle on''. Can you imagine going to her house crying about your problems and she says ''don't worry, dear, let's just jizz the kettle on''. I'd go from crying about my problems to crying with laughter. |

Re: Small things that make you smile
^
That whenever my neighbour apologises for the noise he says it was his birthday, as though we won't realise he's had like 5 birthdays already this year. What really makes me smile though is that this time he apologised and I hadn't actually heard any noise. The sight of me in my dressing gown during the last 5am hallway rave must have traumatised him so much he's finally changed his ways. |
