That would be illegal and dangerous.

"There is no control of the quality or the quantity of the drugs bought via that source."

That's generally why they are called 'prescription' drugs... they need to be prescribed by a professional.

well i'm going to anyway, I want to buy a drug thats actually prescribed here, but not licensed for anxiety or depression, so i can not get it long term, yes true i don't know the quality of the drug, hence asking other people to see if i could find anyone who had done this successfully and i do know the quantity that should be taken, as i've looked up the information for the drug.

bupropion, my own gp today, when i brought this up said

'ah, ok, well yes i've prescribed this to help them stop smoking, who happend to have anxiety aswell, and they said i feel great, unfortunately i can't prescribe it long term as an anti depressant'

then he said...

'yes unfortunately ssri's have very little anti anxiety effect they just keep people on an even keel.

i'm buyin these meds whatever.

I wouldnt risk it really. Must admit I did look it up on Google earlier this year when I was at my lowest. By talking to a friend who is actually a well-trained pharmacy dispenser, she said I must not order any form of medication online as it is very likely to be dangerous. I got an appointment with my doctor the next day and was back on a high dose of Amitriptyline.

I once asked my Psych for Bupropion, but he said it was no good.
It acts like a stimulant which you don't want for Anxiety.

Bupropion is only licenced in the UK for helping people give up smoking, and only for a 7-week course, iirc. A couple of years ago my GP risked his licence by prescribing it to me for ~6 months because he knew i went through hell each winter with seasonal affective disorder. It was the best winter I'd ever had and i got no side effects whatsoever.

It's licenced in other countries to treat SAD (not SA), but of course not in the UK. I would consider getting it off-label too if I knew somewhere safe, but like people have said, buying online is very risky.

How do you get on with that? Is it ok? I'm sure I read somewhere that Amitriptyline is a heart stimulant.

I tend to get on fine with Amitriptyline as it also helps me sleep properly at night. It is one of the old tricyclic anti-depressants. I have posted more about it in another thread on here recently but I can't remember what the thread was called!

the best place to find sites and read feedback and reviews is www.drugbuyers.com and on their forum http://www.drugbuyers.com/freeboard/...s.php/ubb/cfrm
