Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
Don't all rush at once.
I'm dreading it, mainly because '52 years of hurt' doesn't scan. |

Re: Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
Nope. I loathe foolsball. Plus didn't they allegedly kill people on our home soil but we'll go over for a kick about? Okay then.

Re: Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
YES
Football every single day? Hells yeah! Can't wait. Feeling oddly positive about England, usually I want them to fail so I can laugh at the ''we're gonna win the world cup'' deluded brigade but they do have a different vibe about them this time, much more relaxed. I'd be happy with QFs. Would also trade my little finger to see Iceland win the whole damn thing. The last WC was so good it's made me forget all the other crap ones in my lifetime, 2010 being the worst football I've ever seen. |

Re: Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
I didn't even know a World Cup was coming up
No, I shall be moaning that the TV is wall to wall footyball *unless of course England (or Scotland) get into the finals, then I will be super enthusiastic #fairweatherfan |

Re: Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
I'm going to do my usual: not watch any of the matches, while laughing at us as a country for thinking we stand a chance, then suddenly take interest and become patriotic if we reach the quarter finals. I've got all my bases covered.

Re: Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
You reckon 10 years? Guess so. It's been for as long as we've been a disappointment, around the time of the 'golden generation'. I like the song but i can't bear to hear it in an England context. Can't they just give someone a bit of money to come up with a jingle or something.

Re: Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
nup,..
super boring stuff really, for the most part, he kicks the ball to him, then he kicks it to him, then he kicks it to him, which slips past, then someone else kicks the ball to another,. and he kicks it to another, and so on. it was probably invented as a way to entertain the masses, but I can think of better things tbh when you see something like sport for what it is (a diversion from your life's issues ) then you can't really enjoy it after that. I quite like Holland, so will try and catch what I can of them, which will probably be nothing, right enough. |

Re: Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
Oh yeah, I love the cup of the world. All that great footsoccer playing. Warren Rooney, Tim Henman, Mo Farrah, David Beckenham, all the greatest kicky-ball players of our time. What day is it on again? I might just video it or watch the highlights, or just make up the results in my head and pretend I sat through the whole thing paying proper attention.

Re: Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
I have absolutely no interest - I suspect I'll get through it without even knowing a single result/who wins (or at least thats the plan)
I wish I still did matched betting thought, bet there would have been some decent offers on!..but alas, I can't be arsed. |

Re: Anyone looking forward to the World Cup?
Yeah, he looked a fair age back then! Did Putin get in because Gorbi was running the country into ground or was it a fair match?
Nice. What time of year? Did it live up to expectation? I'd travel anywhere tbh, within reason. |
