I phoned my car insurance company after I received my renewal and managed to get them to drop it by £26 so it is cheaper than last years.

I went Go karting for the first time today for my brothers birthday.
Considering that I haven't been behind a wheel since I passed my driving test 8 years ago, I was a little anxious to begin with.
I did the first 15 minute lap and actually felt a bit sick during the break before the second leg. I even said I didn't think I wanted to get back in the kart.....but I pushed myself to do it and I actually really enjoyed the second part. I took more risks....beat my last lap time. My brother and boyfriend even said they were impressed which means a lot....especially as my brother is a real petrol head. He said at one point I blocked him from overtaking me and then I shot off....well happy with that

I even bought discount tickets to do it again within the next 3 months. It was easier for me due to the fact that there was only me, my bro, my dad and my bf on the track.
However....now I have tried it....I would definitely feel more confident doing it a second time and with more people

^ Well done, I'd love to do go-karting

Took my car out round the bypass today as I've not been out in it for a few weeks Replaced my cracked mirror glass too, and used my new car vac which works better than I expected

I went to a counselling session on Saturday to talk and have hypnosis. I do this once a month and although it's hard talking about being bullied, social anxiety, self harming etc it seems to be helping.

Today I had an interview for a job that would have pushed me so far out of my freakin comfort zone. I didn't get it, but I did get amazing feedback on how I did and the fact I even applied and saw it through feels like a massive achievement.

It feels a bit like the pinacle of some big changes in my life over the past year or so. Things have been pretty bleak at times for me mentally for a while now so it feels great to be at some kind of turning point.

I don't this is so much of an achievement as an indicator of how much has changed for me over the past year or so; today, I attended a busy trade fair at the NEC and instead of trying to blend into the background, I was approaching exhibitors, asking for deals, initiating conversations about what they could do for my organisation (although it is quite funny watching the high-end hoteliers starting to approach then seeing "Travel on a Budget" printed on my badge and backing off!). I also got to say a brief hello to a celebrity who was one of the speakers there and I have to say that Angela Rippon still has a great pair of legs at the age of 73!

I feel bad for feeling happy about this (because my poor dog had to go) but I went to the vets today, I had to talk and take charge of the conversation I can't remember the last time I actually went in to the surgery, I've always got my Mum to take my dog there. I feel really proud and pleased I was there for Ted.

^ One of my CBT tasks recently was to catch a bus. I've now done it 3 times (I usually just drive everywhere).

Well done, BTW!

@Dimples, sorry I missed the post about Ted until now - I'm sure he appreciates your courage and I hope he's fully recovered now.

@Airelee & limey, I used to have massive issues with public transport, so I know what you've both had to overcome. Airlee, you're right, the bus is ridiculously expensive, it's no wonder that parents drive their kids everywhere!

Again this is yesterday, but I'm still counting it!:

Drove to a nearby town and picked up my nephew, came back and went into town to post a parcel. Later on gave my brother a lift to a farm 30 mins away with my newphew, then took them back into town after. Drove my nephew back home in the evening

Thanks to you too

He chucked it in a sack, I'm guessing the person at the sorting place won, unless there was music playing there too...

I went for a job interview on Tuesday and I got the job which will be permanent. It will be the same place I temped at for 6 months. Not sure when the start date is yet but I've got a health assessment this Tuesday.

I am so pleased for you, Pink*Lady, I wish you all the best for your new permanent job and hope you don't have to wait too long for a start date.
