Default First Post - West Mids Newbie

Hello, New member here from West Midlands.

I stumbled across this site by accident just yesterday to be honest whilst at a low point. Well I've well and truly had a eureka moment. I did not know social anxiety was actually a condition. I'm still reading up and understanding it, even though i feel like i fully understand it already. Does that make sense?

I'm in my 30's and i believe i have suffered with this since i was 10 if not before. Up-till now, I've managed to struggle through life however, I'm now struggling as i seem to be getting worse.

I have a lot of things to say and get out of my head so I'm hoping this is a big stepping stone for me to understanding.

Thankyou for reading.

welcome to the forum PLB,.

yes, it is a bit of a eureka moment when you find out that SA is an actual thing that many people can suffer from and you aren't actually some sort of mental misfit after all.

it was a relief for me to find this place too,..

hope coming here helps you start slowly getting out of the grips of SA

Welcome PLB! Glad that you've found this forum! It's a great place to come when you feel you're not coping as well as you'd like. There's a calming reassurance to be gained from discovering that others feel the same way and sharing coping strategies can be very helpful!
