When am I going to feel like an adult, whatever that means?
Do I mean when am I going to start feeling satisfied? I don't know.
Maybe it's time for me and partner to live together , maybe I should just stop feeling afraid, Don't know what Im afriad of ( not him , he's lovely) but anything new is daunting. You'd think I'd be used to it by now. I've had about 10 addresses in my life so far ,you'd think I'd be confident and used to it but I'm not.
I probably have things too good here. I have no responsibilities except for getting up and going to work. Everything else is done for me, not that I demand or want it done for me.
Dad still treats me like I'm 4. It would be so nice to wake up to my partner every morning. But I know I'd get irritable at his habits.
I guess you have to put up with stuff like that.
I'm just ranting really.

It's the yearly fret as my birthday approaches

Although its overshadowed by health concerns and specialist appointments looming

I remember my last birthday like it was a couple of months ago - and come to think of it the one before is still quite clearly in my head, not like it was special or anything I was at work.

This whole time speeding up thing is terrifying, come to think of it everything is terrifying..life was much easier as a child!

I don't know why I can't just enjoy myself without a whole load of negative thoughts and feelings taking over. There's not even any basis for them.

Bored and also, frustrated. The number of days that will pass until I am able to achieve any of the small, teeny tiny little things I want to seems to be growing exponentially. Instead I sit and stare through a window, something that might otherwise give me some pleasure is now a painful torture that I have no escape from.

I had myself a long overdue blow out this weekend

It seems I've reached an age where i now get hangovers

Thats not been fun...I was hangover free in my 20s

I'm finally not feeling like I'm dying but christ

This is one of the reasons why I don't really drink much anymore. In my 20's I rarely got a hangover, now all I need is a few glasses of wine to feel like crap the nxt morning!

^ I went out on Friday night and I was still rough on Saturday night

I actually thought there must be something else wrong with me because alcohol has never really done anything to me. Dont know if its a combination of losing a load of weight or not drinking pretty much all year...but good grief I'm not doing that again.

It's like I've just experienced my first little hangover, it genuinely is enough to put me off drinking

Not great, I've managed to put my back out and I can't even stand up straight at the moment and this isn't long after getting over a knackered knee.

I seem to be going downhill rapidly after turning 40 earlier this year .

I'm so disgusting. I have put on so much weight lately, now I don't want to be seen in public. The shame of it.

That said, I do really empathise with you Al, because I feel the same way about myself at the moment

^ You have my sympathy Speakfriend I used to HATE the school run because of the parents - an SA nightmare

Mine starts back on Wednesday. But at 15, I***8217;m no longer allowed within a mile of the school gates which suits me just fine
I feel so heavy hearted though as it will be the last year mines a schoolboy. The years roll by too fast. It only seems like yesterday that he was starting school, little hand tightly clutching mine, Thomas the tank engine lunchbox in the other.

It is sad when they grow up, but what sweet memory ! My other son is 18 months. I'm making the most of these cuddly years !

I seem to be calm, but wary of getting sick or something. Had a good week, reconnected with my hobbies this month, even rode my bike yesterday. Tired now though

She maybe needs a wee counselling session herself. It's rubbish when you feel your progress is being limited by stuff outwith your control
