Thinking about going to see a film tonight by myself, but not sure what to see yet. Foxcatcher looks pretty incredible. There will however, be loads of people there I reckon.

^ Oh god, but popcorn is so loud! Fine...but just this once!

I hope someone really tall doesn't sit in front of me. If they do, I can throw the popcorn at them to express my annoyance.

^You could watch them both, and in between the films you could have a 15 minute tea break...maybe some toast too!

That's what I'd do anyway

That I wouldnt mind going to Lang kwai fong (not a euphemism). Looks amazing.

I kinda wish it was a euphemism. I bet Christna Hendricks has got an AMAZIN Lang kwai fong.

Ah okay, well just make sure you go with a teacher with a good reputation. I kept paying for lessons with a crap teacher, but, because I was ignorant at the time, I didn't know that he was crap until much later.

Good luck

Hmm Jeremy Jackson has been removed out of the big brother house after an 'incident', wonder what he did?
I watched some of last nights as I was bored and they are a horrible bunch of people so far, now I'm going to have to watch out of curiosity to see what happened.....

Lol I think Michelle Visage may well be able to give Katie Hopkins a run for her money and take her down a peg or too if need be. Here's hoping....

Someone did that to me a good few years back, really hurt at the the time too. When I thought about it logically though, I had no intention of ever keeping in touch with them and meeting up with them so why should I let it affect me too much? It isn't a reflection on you at all, it's their issue

Just sat looking through a missing animals facebook page... and almost cried. Can't deal with the fact that one day I might end up having to post on there because my dog keeps on running away every time he hears fireworks/motorbikes passing

Luckily he knows his way home even from a mile away, but still, he has to cross three main roads and he's been lucky so far not to get run over. Awful.

So much more was expected of me than anyone else. I had to be the one who got good grades, was polite, was never in any trouble, didn't smoke or binge drink, didn't have underage sex, didn't swear, was mature yet was somehow socially apt and could easily mingle with peers.

I've spent my whole life being told I'm not good enough.

"He led you on, had sex with you and never spoke to you again? Shouldn't have been such a slag!"

"You're not friends anymore? What did you do wrong?"

"Why is your boyfriend leaving you nice notes? Did you do something bad? Are you being horrible to him?"

"You didn't get the job? What did you say wrong?"

"You're feeling depressed? You're upsetting me. Pull yourself out of it!"

Then I became a self harming, binge drinking, weed smoking slag with no friends who swears constantly and you know what? It makes no bloody difference! I could find a cure for cancer and she'd ask why I didn't cure more diseases.

I get that there are worse things in the world and that my upbringing could've been much worse etc. I really do. I'm probably just being spoilt. But Jesus Christ, what I'd do for some praise that wasn't followed by "but..."

She knew how nervous I was about going in today. I didn't even get a well done. Just a "why didn't you remember to take your meds? You're such hard work"

Even all the stuff that sounds like she's clearly just joking when I repeat it, I can't emphasise enough how shit I feel when it's the only way I've ever been spoken to.

I pushed myself really hard so many times to the point of contemplating suicide and nothing I did could please her. I tried really hard. I'm tired of listening to her voice. I'm tired of missing her and then realising the person I miss doesn't really exist. It's just a childhood memory that remembers things wrongly.

Nothing I ever do will be good enough. At least I ****ing tried. I'm off to drink excessively now.

Gosh, I can relate to so much of what you have written there

As much as we may forever be yearning for a certain persons approval, just a few simple words of praise now and again rather than constant criticism, sometimes we have to accept that the reason they don't utter 'well done' or give us a comforting hug is because they aren't able to. It's a problem that belongs to them and does NOT mean that we are unlovable or unworthy. Some people, possibly due to their own upbringings and issues, are simply unable to express their pleasure or love even though they may feel it. Sad really

Just been to church I didn't half belt out some tunes. (atheist here btw)

As the Church is just a stones throw away I thought, why not. Good opportunity to meet a load of people all at once. My anxiety kicked in when everyone crammed into the canteen like Cattle after Service had finished. I can't handle social pressure. Speaking in groups is a nightmare for me. Clamed up a few times. Just awkwardness. I did it though, I got through it.

I've got to desensitize to social pressure in groups, it ****s me up. Going to start doing things everyday from now on to address the issue. Right now SA is like a boa constrictor around my neck rendering me socially useless. It frustrates me.

I keep feeling tempted to do something similar when I'm in a bit of a state. Part of me thinks it would be the most rational thing to do to get it out of the way. All I'd be doing is making a fool of myself in front of someone who'se opinion I shouldn't care about and I'd get it out of my system.
