In Angel Series 4, when everyone comes under the spell of Jasmine (the demon Cordelia gives birth too) who is the first person to realise something is wrong and why? For a bonus point, what does Jasmine do with the people she picks to go upstairs with her?

The thing with Cordelia.. they all know sneakily don't they? And when she approaches Lorn to kill him they all jump out and say "Suprise" (well, not quite). If one of them says how they worked it out I can't quite remember. It'd either be Angel or Lorn though.

I think Fred was the first person to figure out something was wrong. But as i said, i cant for the life of me remember the rest =(. I didn't really watch those episodes too much. They dragged on a bit, got a bit boring..

I loved that series of Angel. It was on at the same time as Buffy series 7. It was the first series that I looked forward to watching Angel more than Buffy (series 7 wasn't the strongest).

But I haven't seen it in ages.

Just realised I read the question wrong! I thought you said when Cordelia was pregnant and evil! But you meant when she's been born! So yes, it is Fred.

I'm assuming your expected answer is Fred, who is able to see Jasmine for what she really is after coming into contact with her blood while cleaning her clothes. However, the first person to claim that Jasmine is a "monster" is some random guy in a crowd who tries to attack Jasmine with a knife (Fred later goes to see him in the hospital)...also, it is later revealed that Connor was able to see Jasmine for what she really is, from when she first appeared!

I think this is part of the 'magic has consequences' theme. You remember right after they brought Buffy back at the beginning of S6 they had to deal with the nasty little dimension-hitch-hiker? And also the fact that bringing Buffy back is what allowed the First to begin its invasion in the first place (cr*p, that's such an awful pun I'm not going to delete it). Anyway, the BtVS/AtS 'verse has these fuzzy, badly-defined rules regarding the Balance of Good and Evil, and small, badly-dressed human-looking demons who go around enforcing said rules.

In season 4 of BtVS we see Tara and Willow doing a demon-locator spell. In order to complete the spell they must both throw some sort of sand over a map of Sunnydale. Willow does this but Tara pretends to and just chucks the dirt aside. Why does she mess the spell up on purpose?
