Re: What is your favorite soup?
I don't particularly like soup. But I guess mushroom is OK, and asparagus.
Is it a food? Is it a drink? Does anyone really know? |

Re: What is your favorite soup?
Any form of chickpea or lentil soup. A very coriander-y carrot and coriander. A basic vegetable one. Minestrone. A very leeky leek and potato (but they're rarely sufficiently leeky).
I can't stand Heinz chicken soup. The texture is horrifying. I swear I've seen a chicken eye in one before. The tomato one is an affront to a homemade tomato one too. |

Re: What is your favorite soup?
I haven't bought any cans or pots of soup from shops for a good while now,
I make my own and usually find it quite an enjoyable process, I learned a great tomato soup one that i saw Gordon Ramsey doing on youtube. but my favourite is a kind of mixed vegetable soup, one I do is mainly is a little bit like minestrone, with peppers onions, tomatoes, celery, pasta and kidney beans. the other is more of a root vegetable one, with onions, leeks carrots and potatoes. I usually do a huge pot then freeze it in batches... it always seems to taste better after a day or so. |

My youngest sister makes a really good minestrone too I just love the fact that you are crafting a bespoke soup just for your own felicitation and delectation,. So, you can craft as much chilli or garlic into it as you wish, and it probably works out relatively cheap... as meals go |

Re: What is your favorite soup?
^ I'm going to start pouring flavourful homemade soups through your letterbox until it reaches such a depth you can't help but slurp some and learn the fundamental error of your ways.
P.s. what's your address? |

Maybe try making some home made soup, You can make it nice and thick by varying how much water/stock you add to it, so it's more like a stew, Then cook up some chicken or salmon or whatever as a fresh base, then simply pour some of the soup over it, I do that quite often and it certainly adds a bit more interest. You can make chicken soup or ham soup if you feel simple vegetable soups are lacking something? |
