Sitting in my dressing gown because I'm a lazy sod and it's so cold. I'm also contemplating the meaning of life while trying to find the motivation to put some washing in the machine. My husband says he is on his last pair of pants! Honestly, this place is like a launderette at times. My son dropped off some laundry earlier on his way to work. Don't they have washing machines/tumble dryers at Uni anymore? Actually I don't mind doing it one bit, it's so nice to feel needed.

Just finished replacing the soffit along the edge of my garage,
The wood had become rotten, despite me covering it all with PVC cladding then guttering about 5 years ago,
I had to carefully remove everything, right down to the brickwork then clean it all out and cut new plywood facings and glue and screw it all on again,... being careful to make sure it was all completely waterproof this time

I'm not even sure if it's gone above freezing all day,

I'm shattered now and feel like I deserve a bath for all my hard work

Reading some required notes from a uni module.

The SQ3R (you can google it) technique has been pushed a lot in uni to read stuff faster. I’ve tried it once. I’m just reading like I usually do though this time. I think having lots of info to take in and then being told how you should take the info in is a bit too much. It even takes the fun out of learning for me.
