I have been regularly to the gp over the years about my anxiety, have often been on medication, have had a diagnosis of asd and also seen a mindsmatter practitioner and no one has ever questioned my ability to be a good mum. If social services inspected every mum on anti depressants they'd have no time to ever do anything else.
My husband was telling me about all his colleagues who suffer from anxiety or depression and are taking some form of medication, people with good, professional jobs and families. They're quite open about it I think because they are trying to include 'wellbeing' as part of looking after staff.

It's kind of normal to have mental health problems these days, because modern life is so stressful.

If you feel like visiting your gp, please don't worry. They see more people for mental health issues than any other illness.

A little irked. I wanted to leave by 8:30 today, so got up a little earlier, but eBay decided to have a glitch which has left me still waiting on a report I ordered an hour ago, It's been fine every other day for the last 2 months why does it need to glitch on the one day I actually want to go out?

I am being replaced by a qualified nurse. She was supposed to start the job last year but fell ill so I took her place. She is now well enough to return to work so goodbye me.

They gave me enough notice as they could, about a month maybe, unfortunately I haven't been able to find a replacement job yet.

Oh dear, that's a shame - not about the Nurse feeling well enough to come back to work but that it means you will lose your position. I hope that you manage to find the ideal replacement job very soon Indigo

Feeling so very fragile. I sunk to a new low and it's been a real emotional rollercoaster of a day for everyone. I just hope and pray (although I'm not religious) that it's possible to leave at least a little bit of the horribleness of the past behind

I feel good today; got full marks on an assessment while my ex was sat opposite me raging like a toddler because he didn't know what he was doing.

I also spoke to sexy playground dad today. I made a comment on the growth spurt his son has taken and he garbled a load of vaguely relevant nonsense at me at 100mph, then his face went bright red and he walked away.

Had an assessment with a counselling service this evening so feeling a little bit anxious from that still plus all my cuts and bruises from the cycle crash still hurt.

I feel like I was so depressing in group therapy earlier today that I probably made a bunch of depressed personality disorder sufferers think 'Cheer up, Grumpy'. Then I got home, ate an entire thing of ice cream, went to bed, and woke up with the taste of sick in my mouth but I haven't actually been sick, so at least that's something.

anxiety through the roof, have to take my daughter for a scan at the hospital this evening, have to get a taxi, my partner was going to come but now my son isnt well. i really dont want to ring & get in a taxi on my own but i need to be there for my daughter she should be the only one who matters in this

Thank you Whimsical Stranger, the assessment did put my stress levels up but they're getting back down now and my injuries aren't too bad really there's just a slightly annoying swollen patch on my thigh where the biggest bruise is/was.
