A Whimsical Stranger - I'm delighted for you!

Today I cancelled an appointment for a little skin surgery as the issue seems to have suddenly disappeared over the past three days, after bothering me for months;
I made a phone-call to a customer-services desk regarding a product that has become unavailable in my town for some odd reason, and got a helpful response;
and I made another phone-call I'd been putting off for several weeks, and that was resolved happily with no problem.

(I don't like making phone-calls, would rather deal with people in person)

I attended a guided recovery walk on Exmoor which was great although the weather wasn't. Met a few new faces each with a story around mental health and recovery. Id recommend it to anyone wanting to get out and about.

well done

sounds good, I have thought about doing something like that, but like most things, never quite get that far!

Well done, Galatea, I hate making phone calls too. I put them off for ages.

I got up at out the door by 7.30 to have a walk and clear my head. I plan to do that every morning until I find a job. My days need structure.

I wrote a checklist for the day ahead.

I took a career aptitude test.

Most importantly, I posted my first message on this site because I've accepted that I need help and up until now, I've never had anyone to talk to about this.

Well done, on a day that could have been daunting, AireleeBray.

Roisin - I find structured days are more satisfying; good luck with the job-hunting - and welcome!

Icklebitt - positive achievements, good for you.

I went to my first counselling session in 3 years today. I'm doing this through work.
