Very bored... and fairly constantly for the past few weeks. I get out and about, have interesting books, games and other things going on, have nice holidays and trips but it still isn't enough to keep me entertained for very long. I definitely think I came with dissatisfaction baked in. I think it's routine. I'm not sure we mix.

Same! I woke up at 3am like I haven't had water for a year or something.

I've got snot crystals round my nose too, like being 10 years old again.

I get ya - same ol' same ol' can be nice but also a bit tiring. Maybe you've been trying to fill your time with too much of the same things and it's all a bit safe/familiar without a new mental challenge?

How's the new job going?

The tree had been standing there for around 300 years and then, just like that, some horrid 16 year old kid destroys it and for what reason I wonder if it was a 'prank' that he was planning to show on social media?

@ Mo Well done, it sounds like you had a great time! You've come along way since the first Away Day

Amazing the tories have been ****ing our country up left right and centre for 13 years doing far worse things ecologically speaking...one 16 year old kid chops down a tree and the entire country is outraged just because the tree looked pretty in some photos and a film.

Because there's no blowback.
Be outraged about the tree barely anyone will disagree and virtually everyone will be on your side. It's a very safe outrage.
Talk about the the destruction of public services over the last 13 years and you risk disagreement, arguments, animosity and potential ostracism.
Brain defaults to the route of least emotional impact. Primal survival mode.

yeah think there's an overreaction on the tree. Jeremy Vine show was a nightmare today, a 1 hour moan about the tree, and everybody's treasured memories about the tree.

Another day, another migraine. I’m actually not in a bad mood but it’s very difficult not to snap at others when it feels like a little person is stuck in your head thumping your skull with a tiny little but very powerful Thor hammer. I like to imagine he looks something like Hugh Grant does in the new Willy Wonka film. That cheers me up a little. I have so much tidying too do. I’ve let things slip and my room is as chaotic as my head. My pillows feel like rocks because head is so sensitive. Too high, remove one, then too low. Too hard, too soft. Lights off, eyes feel strained, lights on, can’t take it. Oh what musical chairs. I also managed to burn my foot and the blister has been itching like mad, just to add insult to injury. But apart from that, I’m good.

^ ouch! Do you get them regularly? I've only had one once and that was quite enough, tyvm.

Hope it eases up. This feels like the most and least appropriate smilie:

Better than earlier. I seem to be in the grip of fluctuating depression. Have had a soak in the bath which has made me much more content.

I booked my trip to Northants non refundable so I guess that's one way to make me not back out, lol. It's only for 3 nights but I'm not going to enjoy the travel. It's depressing doing these things on your own too.

Though good on your own as you can choose your own iterinary. It’s always good going back to where you grew up.

I’m chuffed- saw a full grown fox 20 mins ago. Never even knew foxes visited there. It was being pursued by a cat.

^ Yeah that's true. I've meant to do it for a long time, think it might be a bit of an emotional rollercoster ride tho!

Lol pursued by a cat, oh dear!

--------

I'm feeling tired only myself and one other at the sanctuary and she had to go early as her daughter is unwell. So I did most of the work. Two of the five kittens are going tomorrow so I spent some time with them after i'd finished. I will miss them
