Just below the twitter/facebook thingy, there is some text that says 'don't have one?' (i.e. a facebook account). Next to that is a box where you can type in any nickname of your choice, and just hit 'go'. Then it will join you to the chatroom :-)

I'll have to be braver and choose a time when there is actually someone else in chat. I strangely feel more nervous about live online chat than speaking to people in real life.

I have been really ill last week and busy at work this week - but I think I may log on this evening between 7 and 8 - if anyone fancies it...

I don't have a video cam so text only for me. I work and get home late so usually thurs - sat around 8ish for me.

I've went on once or twice lately in the evenings and found no-one there,..

best place would probably be in SAUK main chatoom,. or the lounge,..

but it's still there,.. I think the idea just slowly dwindled,..

I was only on it once or twice,. maybe others were the same ?

This is a brilliant idea.
I don't think we should give up over a few teething troubles.
Perhaps if we had a set time when the chat is most busy and posted that it would help. Maybe a afternoon and evening time?

I'd like to float this idea.

Twitter makes it easy to keep in touch, and there doesn't have to be a set time to meet as you can chat live or read messages later.
We could all get to know each other and chat that way. Even use the chat room previously mentioned along side Twitter.

My personal account on Twitter is @redfoxcountry.
Its an open account, but people can make their accounts private if they wish so only people they choose can read what they post.

was on tonight,.. and was on a few times sporadically a few weeks ago, and it's always no-one about.

better to just stick to the main chat-room where there's always people about.

I find "live" chatting like that so hard when I don't know the person. Silly, I know.
