You do scrunch, Dougella. Admit it. I have no evidence of this but i can imagine.

I'm a proud scruncher.

Folding seems a little..what's the word... overly precise. I'm usually in a rush though. Ain't got time for toilet roll origami.

There's no need to fold or scrunch with good quality paper.

I initially read that as a muncher! And that's a whole different category! I really need to start wearing glasses! I think I'm a scruncher. Although I'm usually on autopilot when that's going on! After all, this isn't a Downton Abbey moment! "More tea vicar? Although before I pour the earl grey, let me just scrunch this out! Anyway, one lump or two?"

I'm a folder. I fold as I take it off the roll so it's not exactly a time-consuming excercise. Scrunching just seems a waste of paper and time.

Exactly, folding is an efficient use of time.

One that pre-folds ready and can determine the amount needed by recent diet!

Where did you get that list, Laurel? I've not noticed supermarkets being closed on Sundays in Belgium, Germany, Poland or Spain (not sure I've tried shopping in Montenegro on a Sunday), but a lot of those countries seem to rely on smaller shops rather than supermarkets. I'm pretty sure I've been to a Spanish Lidl on a Sunday, although that was in the Canary Islands rather than the mainland.

^ Probably from laws in those countries, although in ours, of course, the six-hours' rule only applies to shops of a certain floorspace, which is why many Co-ops, Tesco Metros and the like don't have to comply. It's interesting that countries considered religious, like Italy, have supermarkets open, whilst others which are constitutionally non-religious, like Poland, have them closed. I'm going to start taking more notice when I visit these places.

Having an account is part of what makes YouTube so addicting for some. I fired off psychologist were to study this as well as the algorithm being more suited to making you binge watch videos, there would be a big interaction aspect to it like how commenting makes people feel.

It’s actually nice when the shops close. Yes it’s inconvenient but to me it shows that the culture knows how to relax or slow down.

^ I agree. I think life was somehow better when we had Sunday closing here.

Also, I can confirm that the list is correct: supermarkets are open as normal (well, Lidl has slightly reduced hours) on Sunday in Romania, this despite the fact that people were queueing to get into churches yesterday morning - as well as the cemeteries being busy (this may be connected with All Hallow's Eve /.All Saints Day, of course).

Recently I have had Steatorrhea which I thought came from a cheat day meeting my cousin and not taking my low carb diet seriously but tbh, now I'm not sure how it randomly came, maybe it's also stress. With uni when my module was messed up and my sister moving back home from her student accommodation.

I watched a video on how low carb or keto diet might be bad for our gut bacteria if we aren't careful. The main reason is that although it's healthy, it can be easy to not eat a varied enough diet as in just varied types of food.

So maybe this Steatorrhea is a result of not eating enough different types of foods. Right now I think I am taking a break from keto, may change my mind but am also hyper conscious of not being careful and eating foods that will make me gain fat. I think the ease of losing weight, or maintaining a lean body, in keto, just makes me conscious of gaining weight as I'm sure it's easy to gain weight off keto. I am also saying to myself I only want to eat whole foods but realistically, it's very easy to go against that when I don't have a diet in my mind to hold me accountable.

^ Does your keto diet mean you are eating higher levels of fat than average? Maybe that could be contributing.

Yes certainly, it can be contributing though I never had these problems doing it before and I did it for maybe 5 months in 2021 and now. I’ve done it for around 3 months. No problems till around 3 weeks ago.

In fact it’s actually made me conscious of foods ie wasn’t conscious of before, rice especially, now I have the intuition that rice is meant to be eaten in small portions as it can easily lead to a bigger belly. My body or mine feels the same about other high carb filler foods like oats. It’s weird as with keto you don’t seem to eat much but don’t get hungry for a long time. I know chips can be filling but 30 minutes later or something you crave more food.

I’m not against keto. But now I think one hard thing about trying to eat a particular way is social pressure. If you have people sabotaging you it becomes something you might feel you have to prove is work even if it isn’t. And then some information is either very pro the Diet or anti the diet. I think, although it’s hard, the truth is that there is a more nuanced answer on diets and it depends on the persons body and what it needs. Even general health advice might not suit everyone’s body. In fact keto has made me think that mainstream advice scares us about the fat macro nutrient when it’s actually very necessary and really helps make food taste nice without adding excessive amounts of sugar.

How much carbs are in rice. Just brought a pack of basmati rice it's like the carbs are almost a 3:4 level per gram of rice?

One way to check this could be to use a handy website https://cronometer.com which lets you keep a food diary and analyses the nutrients in the food. I found the free subscription gave me all that I needed. Obviously it takes extra time to log what you're eating and it needs a food scale, but I found it worthwhile even doing it for one day; I stopped taking certain mineral supplements because I found I was getting more than I needed from my diet. For foods like pasta and rice, it needs some care to distinguish between dry weight and cooked weight; if it lists something as "cooked" that means it should be weighed after cooking, not before. It doesn't adjust nutrients for bioavailability or for interactions such as coffee or tea blocking absorption of non-haem iron if taken too close to a meal.

Rainbows are actually complete circles, but we only see half the arc from Earth.

Circular rainbows can be seen by passengers in planes

That I like red wine. At least this £5.49 one from Aldi. I've been convinced for about 20 years that even a glass of it would make me want to throw up, for some reason.
