If you could live in any decade, which one and why?

Thought I'd post this as a bit of fun and something to get you guys thinking if you could live in any decade which one would you pick and why?

Myself it's a toss up between the 70s and 80s but I think the 1980s wins out due to the fact this decade sparked the birth of NWOBHM (the new wave of British Heavy Metal) with bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead all coming into mainstream attention as well as the birth of thrash metal spawning bands such as Metallica and Megadeth

Early 90s, I would like to see how it was growing up in London without social media.

Perhaps the 80s.

Obviously there problems back then, like every decade, but I'd like to see what it would be like to live back then... without a heavy reliance on technology and social media. It also seems far less sexualised back then. I also wonder if friendly/romantic relationships were easier to form back then - it seems very difficult these days (well, from my incredibly lacking experience anyway).

Plus I'm a big fan of a lot of 80s tv/film and music!

i'd choose 50's cos everyone talked like proper posh and seemed well educated even the poor and it seemed more innocent back then like you wouldn't be ashamed to be a virgin in your 40's and there didn't seem to be that keeping up with the jones captalist materialistic want everything now attitude.

Well its pretty irrelevant if I was born in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, cos I be discriminated against for my existence regardless.

I like to feel positive and hopeful for the future. Though at the end of the day its probably ganna end up being worse than north korea on a global scale. Sure I would be part of a terrorist group hiding in a hole somewhere... WOW that sounds fun...not.

So instead I think I would go back in time further to when dragons existed. Say 1215. I understand I be a poor peasant and smell bad. However I would be a smart poor peasant and think I would felt proud to of lived on this island back then. Maybe I could befriend a dragon and live as a hermit in the woods. Maybe look for robin hoods lair and hang out with them.

A decade some point in the future. The world was a shitty place in the past. Anyone who wants to live in a previous decade is misguided and don't know what they're talking about. Try living in it, I'm sure you'll want to get out of it as soon as you can.

Probably the 1960s, some of the best music came from that era. Also, the summer of love.

I'd be a war babe, born in 1945. In my teens the mid to late fifties would be best for train/plane-spotting and the early sixties excitement of space travel and British motorbikes. Followed by great music with all that free love, mahn! In 72 i'd be last of the £10 poms thereby missing the YomKippur/Oil recession(and Thatcher) to marriage and riches in Oz! Turn of the millenium would see me dump the by now wrinkled Sheila and escape to NZ where i'd have a lifestyle plot growing fruit to keep me regular! I'm erm 69 now, retired with a Thai bride, doing airsports, silver(kite)surfer and ride a Made-in-India Royal Enfield without helmet!

90s for the better looking cars (none of that frog/alien looking crap), the better music (imo the best), the start of the Wenger era. If only I was born 15 years earlier so I could've spent my teens there. Would've beaten the shitty 00s and I might have had a stable life BEFORE the new millennium hit.

The 2020s. Hopefully hipster beards, geek chic, ice bucket challenges and social media obsession will have been replaced with something more tolerable/faded away. Would be a bit shit having no NHS though.
