Re: Love or Money?
I guess you'd have to be pretty dead inside to say money genuinely means more to you than love. I don't just mean love as in a sexual relationship, I mean to have been loved by someone: whether it was a grandmother, a brother or a close friend.
Just as important as being loved is being able to love others. I used to envy people who were hard and selfish and felt little to nothing for anyone else, but now I kind of pity them- their lives must be dreadfully narrow, small and bleak. What an ugly little world it must seem to them. The world's great poets, playwrights, novelists and philosophers have always warned of the danger of a life devoted to money, possessions and power at the expense of giving and receiving love. |

Re: Love or Money?
McCartney's divorce settlement seems appropriate for this thread. I feel sorry for their daughter. How is she going to survive on £35,000 a year, with a mother and father who are both multi-millionaires -
Ms Mills made reference to the £35,000 a year their daughter would receive. "Beatrice only gets £35,000 a year - so obviously she's meant to travel B class while her father travels A class, but obviously I will pay for that." awww, int she generous |

Re: Love or Money?
Money. It's more practical and more useful.
