Do you think that most people like you or don't like you?

Do most of you not think that maybe you are liked and you are misperceiving that you are unliked?

I feel like I give off a bad vibe, like people think Im rude because I don't speak to them.

Most people hate my guts because I don't have a larger than life personality when I first meet them and first impressions mean everything. I'm very awkward, quiet and shy around people when I first meet them. People who have given me the benefit of the doubt and have got to know me better over time have admitted that when they first met me they thought I was a snob, aloof and hostile. I don't do this intentionally and feel ashamed deep down when people tell me this. I'm trying to change this but it's a struggle.

If someone's being quiet, then I don't people generally care enough to like or dislike.

I'm not interesting enough for people to either like or dislike me. I just exist in the background.

I honestly don't think people like me at all or are at least weirded-out but being 31 and quite proud of my battle with anxiety I don't really need their approval and it's made me more self-reliant.

I find I am an easy target for the bored and down right nasty ppl of this world. Personally I am friendly with everyone, would talk to anyone who talked to me and because I wore my heart on my sleeve my friendships, personality and on occasion relationships have all been tarnished and used as entertainment. I am now really battling with myself not to hate everyone because it's not ME, I hate myself for letting ppl turn me into something I can't stand to live with. I feel like a shell of who I once was and now ppl don't know what to make of me x

It starts off that people like me at first, but as time wears on people dislike me. Only my view of course. I think it's a mixture of being let down and expecting too much from people that I'm more negative towards them, which fuels the disparity between me and others. I hope I'm wrong and that this is all not true.

I think people see me as a bit quiet and strange sometimes but they generally seem to like me.

I'm beginning to wonder if I can ever be rid of those ppl. They just have different faces, different names but the pain they cause me each time is becoming unbearable if I'm honest. I've recently quit a job I loved because of how ppl have affected me in the work place. I hate that I keep on letting them win...

I don't think most people dislike me, but I don't think they like me either. I can get on pretty well with people as acquaintances, but I find it almost impossible to make real friends. I tend to assume most people don't want to be my friend, and I'm very guarded because of it.

^^ I get this. I think having these assumptions maybe put other ppl off approaching friendship. I always fall into the habit of putting a wall up or tuning out when I feel vulnerable or worthless. Then again I tend to zone out or cover up the subject if someone rarely gives me a compliment too. I'm wondering can anyone really win with me? I've turned completely pessimistic.

No I'm pretty sure most dislike me, well people who know me anyway. Evident this week when it was my birthday, on Facebook not 1 happy birthday despite me wishing folk all year happy birthday, I've hidden it now.

I'm not sure...the people that get to know me well really like me. My work colleagues seem to get on with me well and invite me out now and again. Most people especially on the net just seem to take an early dislike to me.

I am mostly disliked, I've had people I know go out their way to avoid saying hello to me. Ive always just been too awkward and unapproachable and terrible at making small talk. My dog likes me I think at least

I think I'm mostly disliked. Sometimes I even doubt some of my friends and why they hang around with me, particularly if something happens - like for example if they go out and don't tell me and I'm left out. That does make me think I must be a total bitch sometimes.
