Top gear was ok, other than maybe Chris' Evans shrieky voice as he tried to review the cars. But with the former Top gear trio they were genuine sort of friends perhaps, and these two are trying to mimic that.

Yeah, what you said. I was drunk at the time - still am a bit - and used the wrong sentence. I think the 'method' is my misunderstanding, the doing of these things. I mean, how does it get so far that it ends up on tv!

I'm so glad my kinks are completely 'normal'. I'd still feel uncomfortable sharing them. I would never feel comfortable inflicting my shit onto others if there was no reciprocal enjoyment. The mentality is wanting to totally escape the responsibility and headspace of adulthood, destroy the ego and 'bliss out'. We all do that stuff, with gaming, alcohol, meditation, fandom. Some people do it by becoming a 'baby' or a 'dog' or a 'sub'. A better choice than heroin or daredevil sports or something.
But with these 24/7 people, they've made a commitment to that identity which seems so selfish, because in a great many of these relationships (moreso in the heterosexual ones) there is this inflicted dynamic, this loneliness and wilful abandonment. I don't know how many kink programmes I 've watched where one of the guys is in the full regalia talking about it, nappies, gimp suit or whatever and his tired-looking, probably embarrassed wife sits beside him, radiating silent resentment.

The need to regress is universal, the need to pick up other peoples' messes and babysit them isn't. What happens when the 'strong' partner wants to let go, wants support or a helpmate? Do they feel guilt for even asking?

I think inflicting that kind of semi/24 hour lifestyle on someone who isn't in the community and has never shown any independent interest in it is cruel.

Everything these days is about inflicting your tastes and sex on the world to acheive 'being authentic' but every time I see that 'the hell is my life?' look on some poor woman's/man's face, I feel sad.
