This will gross you out. I've never made mash from scratch. I just buy it frozen in bags

Home-made mash is worse, all lumpy At least the frozen stuff is smooooth

What you do is you microwave it, so it starts to soften, and then you stir it all together to make non-lumpy mash, voila!

They're a cheap man's fishcake (which are also mashed potato in a breading, but with a little fish and tartar sauce added to the mash).
