My thoughts are that the forum layout is outdated which probably doesn't help attract new users, also it'd help if the forum could be linked to an NHS social anxiety page. Mods are probably already aware.
Right now it's a vicious circle, not many users = less banter, less banter = less users.

Apparently I have a double at the buddhist centre. I walked in and a woman was like, "MARIAAAA!" and asked me to show some people around. I nodded and smiled until she was like, "Maria? It's Kathrine!", at which point I had to admit to not being Maria. I sort of wish I'd gone along with it though and just been Buddhist Maria from now on. Until we eventually met and had to fight to the death in the shrine room.

^ I wonder what you would think if you saw Maria. People used to tell me I looked really like someone, but when I eventually saw her I thought we were nothing alike. Worst of all she was kind of notorious in our town. Buddhist Maria is probably nice though. I'd love to hear what you think if you ever see her.

Right now it's a vicious circle, not many users = less banter, less banter = less users.

I remember when I first joined in 2016 there were lots of people posting, and members like Johnny, Flumpsy and Cairn etc were the bantermeisters, it was a much more social environment.

I very much agree with you Tom Morello that a link to the NHS would be good and about the vicious circle, I suppose that Facebook groups are also a form of competition.

Why can't I stay asleep for longer on a Sunday, I made myself a cup of tea hoping that would send me back to sleep.

^ Tell me about it.

Yesterday I had to physically extract myself from my bed I was so tired, to go to horse welfare place. This morning, no need to get up, no alarm - i'm awake, making breakfast at 7.30

Ah that's interesting, it's so strange thinking about how people see you versus how you see yourself. Maria apparently goes to a poetry discussion thing I've wanted to go to for ages but avoided, so maybe that'll be motivation to go. I'll report back!

I need to lose some weight!
Just found a couple of pics of me from 4 years ago and I actually had a half decent body unlike my current flabby mass.

I got flabby too. The guys at work used to feed me junk every day and I used to binge on biscuits to keep me up during all the hours I did. I'm on a diet now.

Just been all the way to Spain and back but it seems like Stansted to London is the most complicated part of the journey. Got put on a train to Cambridge, then Stevenage... what next?

I'm aware I'm not really watching any TV shows/playing too many new games, I just see something and think oh I'll watch/do that later...but It never seems to happen, I'm not sure when "later" is..am I suppose to just make a 30 year list of stuff I want to do when I retire and actually have the time?

It's ridiculous. I'm so close to just telling him to **** off and drop my hours for my own sanity. I'm not even working that many hours..40-45, other people do plenty more..I don't see how you have time for anything, even less so if you have a family/kids..jesus christ.

^^ What about having a romantic candlelit dinner with your boyfriend?

@ Galatea - I know exactly what you mean. I never used to wish people ' Good Luck' or say 'Congratulations' or whatever because of the SA and, well, who would want the likes of me saying something nice to them? But I know from past experience, how it was the little words of empathy and encouragement that not only came from family or friends but from quite random acquaintances and strangers that turned a bleak situation into something a little more bareable. I know SA sufferers often feel way too shy and inhibited to share a kind word with somebody else - perhaps they fear a rebuke - but it's a rare human being indeed who doesn't appreciate just a few kind words during difficult times.

I did binge devil may cry 5 on sunday and basically played it straight for 12hrs but its very rare I do anything like that, the saturday I was putting up a wardrobe (My life is crazy exciting)

I really don't feel like I have available time for more than a couple of hours of tv a week

Admittedly I do waste a lot of my free time but I'm never really in the mood to do anything probably doesn't help I tend to wake up most mornings between 4-5 and by the time I'm sat here at 7-8pm the days a write off.

I offered to buy my brother Devil May Cry 5, he turned it down.

Sometimes I worry that I've said the same thing more than once on here, and not in reply to a direct question, but an anecdote or something. Oh dear, I don't want to be 'that bore with the same old jokes and stories' on the internet instead of in real life. Somehow that seems far, far sadder.

^ Ha, you could never be as boring as me. I've regurgitated the same old stories so many times on here that I'll have to start making up stuff soon. I guess the one or two people who join SAUK each year and haven't heard it all before might appreciate it

Btw, I always find your posts interesting choirgirl and I'm sure everyone else does too

Thinking how tired and utterly lack lustre I always feel since making just small changes to my medication.
