I sincerely hope that Casandra Nye's predictions for my week ahead are correct!
Although I think it's really unlikely |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
I get paid tomorrow. I need to save loads of money this month. That makes me want to piss it all away. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll buy a load of drugs, prostitutes and gamble the rest away.

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
^I remember when they let me wear one of their helmets and sit at the big steering wheel of the fire engine. They let me put on the siren and beep the horn. The fun i used to have when I was twenty five...

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
^I was joking about being 25. I was, like, 3.
I just love that joke template where you tell an anecdote about something you did or liked as a child, but you don't say you were a child, you let the other person assume that, then 'Boom!' you hit them with the "Oh, to be 27 again" or "The things i got up to when i was 23." Clearly, i failed in this instance. On the topic of firemen being heroes. Did you know that Steve Buscemi was a fireman? He rejoined his regiment(?) after 9/11 to work at Ground Zero. He refused all interviews with the reporters who spotted him cos he didn't want to distract from what was really happening. Steve Buscemi, what a guy. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
^Rightio. I think they'd have turned the hose on me if the 25yr old me had asked for a go behind the wheel.
Your son'll get to have a go on one soon, they always go round to nurseries or open day things to let the kids have a go. You could turn up and nip in when they ain't looking. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
how evil teenage girls can be !
I was reading an article about a group of girls that tortured a 15 year old for four hours ! She only escaped because her attackers went to wash blood off their hands. They admitted they would have killed if she hadn't of escaped and were annoyed she got away. What is wrong with some people ! |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
I wonder what the beef is between Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Neither of them follows the other on twitter. They never work on projects together anymore, not even as producers. They never promote the other's stand up tours/tv shows/movies/interviews, while they do promote other people's things.
There's a beef there. I reckon Merchant outgrew Gervais to the point where he could no longer tolerate him doing certain things like bullying teenagers on twitter. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
Is it ever possible to find the one?
Is there such a thing as the one? Or just the one for now until another one comes along? How do you know if you've found the one? This makes no sense to me whatsoever |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
^^ It is possible to find 'the one', but there are many people in the world who could be 'the one' for every person, if that makes any sense!

Finding someone you are compatible with is sheer blind luck. You might have bumped into such a person tomorrow had you not spent the time reading this response, now that you did read it, you may miss them by 15 seconds. I am altering the course of your life just by typing more and more and more. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)

You're right, there is no such thing as people 'destined to be together' or relationships that are 'meant to be'. It's just down to chance as to whether you meet someone, and even then it doesn't necessarily last. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
^I think "the one" is who you're with when you are happy enough to stop looking. There may be someone better for you out there but it doesn't matter because you are both suited to one another and want to stay together.
(Not that I've ever found them, or anyone, or am likely to) |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
@Omar Little
@Dougella I think it's purely down to chance, if two people are in the right place at the right time and hit it off they do, if they don't they don't. But there are ways in which to influence your chances of meeting someone, like going out or online dating etc. Any chances that do come along, I now feel, should be grabbed with both hands because the regret of not taking them is much harder to live with than trying and making a plonker of myself. Chances are that in the five minutes it's taken to type this my 'one' has passed me by, then again he probably did that years ago |
