Top tip: use a hairdryer on your nails. Many minutes saved and no more smudging

I've been cleaning my sister's flat with her and my dad. Went for lunch. Got some work to do later and I'll probably watch some more glastonberries. I need to plant my sunflowers in the ground too but might wait because it's going to be HAWT tomorrow.

Removing hairy window boards and replacing with new ones. Not sure why they're hairy but they are covered in hair underneath. Either the entire family had alopecia or this house was full of small dogs or someone was running a home barber shop.

^and that was apparently after the property had been cleaned! Sometimes I walk in and walk straight out of these empty properties and refuse to work in them.

Sad really that some people live in these conditions.

Trying to think of an excuse to get out of going to a wedding on Saturday. I'd completely forgotten about it until I happened to see a reminder in a group message that I'd muted ages ago. I don't think it's purely avoidance since I know I can get through weddings fine, it just involves getting a tram, then a bus, then another bus, then a taxi to the middle of nowhere to get there and then having to do that in reverse for the way home (which I imagine will just be replaced by a long taxi trip if it's late at night, which will be annoying when so many other people will have the same idea). Also it looks like it's going to be raining all day.

I completely forgot about that Is that something people still use to get out of things these days? I don't even know if it came up people would just say to go anyway, I could imagine that happens a lot these days. The rate seems so low at the moment that I think the excuse of winning the lottery and having to collect my winnings would be just as believable.

I found that since I had the group on mute I missed the whole discussion about all chipping in to buy a gift, so I'm probably already in their bad books for that. I'm leaning towards just pretending I forgot right now and turning my phone off for a couple of days.

^^^ & ^^ I'm the opposite - i much prefer being active, involved, doing something during work, which is unfortunate because almost a third to a quarter of my time at work is spent fretting about not having anything to do. But i work for a small, family-run company who're doing very well and, i'm told, are happy to have me as a general hand when needed. It doesn't help knowing that though - i feel like a fraud when i'm hiding my idleness, busying myself with the next to nothing tasks that i make up

Yoga - which my mind is telling me to cancel and I'm not really feeling up for it at all but know I'll feel better after for going.

(Oh fudge pickles, I left my trainers at work again!)

Then this evening I'm going out for dinner but it's meant to rain and my raincoat is at work too.

Anyway it will all feel like it's been a good day when I go to bed.

I've been umming and ahhhing about getting a gaming PC for a while and am finally having a cheap-ish one arriving later on today. So my evening will be spent building pretty houses in Sims 4 with various mods to make the graphics not look so atrocious.
