Whoever he was living next to or below, no-one would want to put up with that kind of noise level constantly. You shouldn't have to put up with it either. Hope he goes out for new years eve and leaves you in peace!

He sounds like such a horrid selfish man. He knows the level of noise he is making is socially unacceptable but continues to make it nonetheless. I hope the noise Diary you are keeping manages to convince the authorities that this situation cannot continue into the New Year!

Just woken up from a nap but don't feel in any way refreshed - in fact I feel even more sluggish than before
Also trying to keep away from the husband as he has a stinking cold and I really don't want to catch it!

Yeah, I know. I hope he goes out too. Might take myself off for New Year but still haven't made up my mind.

Trouble is that's what his life revolves around - mates, partying, gaming, nothing else. He seems to hate me because mine doesn't. I think he thinks i'm younger than I am as well. He carries on most of the time like an out of control school boy.
Yeah I hope so too. I've never done consecutive complaints as he's always stopped for a while after a warning. God knows where it will all end.

Trying very hard not to let my bf walk all over me again and although I know it is the right thing to do, it feels incredibly uncomfortable.

^ Hope you stood your ground, fella.

I've finally scratched the itch and finished rewriting the chorus to The Next Best American Record after having one line of it going round in my head all day (and I'm very proud):

Whatever's on tonight, I just want to party with you,
Pan on the hob, alight, I'm heating up some chicken soup,
You make me feel, like, there's something else I wanted - stew?
I wanted - dumplings n' gravy running down on you.

It's you, all the foods lead to you,
Everything I bite and chew,
All the things that I weigh.
It's true, all the foods lead to you,
Like the five croissants I get through,
Every night and every day.

Yes I did, despite toys being thrown out of his pram.
It's high time he started to do some things for himself instead expecting others to run around after him like servants.

Thanks Biccies

I will try and do that, although Ted will probably have other ideas ha.
He has a couple of issues with his eye, and poor little guy, his peepee.

Thank yooou! We've been referred to a specialist regarding the eye and he's also booked in to be neutered.

Just had the AA out to change a tyre. I drove down to the leisure centre car park yesterday and someone pointed out my rear tyre was looking flat! I didn't have time to sort it so left it there (its a free car park) and decided to sort it today. Turned out I had a nail stuck in my tyre! Apparently it's repairable.

Anyhoo whilst waiting for the AA guy I was standing doing the mobile phone dance trying to get reception and two cars had an accident right behind mine. Poor elderly couple got smashed into by a guy roaring out of a space backwards without looking. They sorted it out but the old guy came back and asked me to be a witness in case the other driver decided to deny it. Hope I don't get dragged into it. Tho I will back him if necessary.

Sending goodnight messages to a dead person. Just when you think I can't lose it any further.

^^ girlinterrupted, I'm so sorry that you are having to experience the horrendous pain of grieving
Not that it helps, but I would say that you aren't losing it at all but are reacting normally and naturally to missing someone who was so very dear to you. If sending messages bring you just a tiny bit of comfort then that's what you should continue to do x

Trying to summon the activation energy to drag myself down to the gym. I know I will feel better if I do go, but this sofa is nice and comfy.

Think I'll pull the guitar out after I've had a bite to eat.
I wish I had a nice voice to sing-a-long with but I just end up getting irritated by the sound of my own voice lol

@ Biscuits - I'm glad you survived the haircut and the over vigorous massage!

Yep, I rather like your idea of taking myself and the cat out into the garden tomorrow although there's a good chance I will be blown away. Tbh, that actually sounds quite appealing.

I did eventually manage to drag myself out earlier but had a hot flush in Wilko's while looking at the bird feeders. That will teach me for getting sidetracked from the job in hand - getting something for dinner. I also bought some magnesium oil in the health shop (tablets gave me the squits) as I'd read massaging it into achey restless legs induces relaxation and sleep. Does it heck!! My legs are as achey as ever, I'm wide awake listening to the gale force wind and ohh there's a lovely oil slick over my nice clean bedsheet.

@Consolida ^ I get the exact same with legs, have for..two or maybe three years now? I'm on iron and vitamin D both from the Drs atm and am hoping that might help, although neither were prescribed for anything relating to that. Ruddy perimenopause/menopause. I'll be glad when it's buggered off,33 years of periods so far and counting, and they've never been any use to me and won't be now but apparently they're trying to go out as annoyingly as they can

I am sat here worrying about the gales (strong winds of any kind make me anxious because #1 everything does and #2 the 87 hurricane really freaked me out lol) and trying to find something to watch/listen to to distract myself from being sad 'til I can sleep. I hate night times and Sunday mornings the most
