It was so cold on the commute this morning that the gears stopped working on my bicycle.

Have I upset someone without meaning to? Or am I overreacting to an apparent silence?
Be still you overthinking brain.

Sorry you weren't able to go chuck.

I'm reliving this glowing example of my conversational skills at a meeting with a recruitment agency:

"Oh, The Museum of Wigan Life, what's that?"

"Er, it's just... a museum... in Wigan... about, um... Wigan..."

^^ true, I guess the clue is in the name. Kind of wish I'd bullshitted and said it was a museum of spider clog dancing or cat mafias or something now.

Amazon: Your items will be out for delivery on Thursday.

Me: Great, then I won't have to listen out for a delivery on Wednesday.

Amazon: We decided to deliver your items on Wednesday without informing you, and now they're with that neighbour you hate having to talk to.

Oh, wait, they did inform me, but Outlook decided to put those emails in the not-important folder that I forget exists, despite never having done that before.

Still means I'm going to have to see my neighbour. And he's probably going to ask me what it is. And I'm going to say it's cardboard boxes for moving. And he's going to ask where I'm moving to. And I'm going to have to tell him. And he's going to ask whether I'm renting or buying and if it's a flat or a house. And I'm going to have to awkwardly explain it to him. And I'm going to feel like my personal space has been violated and want to spend the evening drinking and then not want to see anyone for a few days.

Your neighbour asks what's in your parcels ? How rude! My answer would probably be "Oh nothing important." and then I'd get away as fast as I could.

(I'd never ask someone what was in their parcel, what if it was something personal and worse still what if they told me it was a massive sex toy.)

It's more a case of me worrying that I'll be asked than him being likely to ask, to be fair

In any case, turns out it was left with another neighbour who I've only ever shared polite hello's with and probably wants to be left alone as much as I do. They just knocked and gave it over with no fuss. My massive sex toy is safe from prying eyes!

I've got a card from a parcel delivery firm about a parcel left at my neighbour's house. I wasn't expecting anything though so it's probably a wrong address. It's stressing me out thinking about it. It's too late to go round tonight anyway.
