huh, yeah the Toronto film festival rings a bell, think I've heard of that one. I imagine the main ones would be pricey, and full of good looking successful people, not my thing at all! I was thinking of maybe a horror film festival or something, where the people are largely oddballs and nerds. But yeah the having no one to go with thing would be a problem. gah, hate it when you get a good idea of something to do but can't make it happen because of SA.

I remember when it first came out on channel 4 they were saying it was supposed to illustrate some point about human psychology, how we respond to constant surveillance or some such ()

I was bought up by an alcoholic, plenty of experience of that. That's why I very rarely touch the stuff myself. In a seriously weird mood tonight though, have rum

Yess, I got outbid, get in.

Need to sort out another GP appointment ASAP, but can't work up the confidence to do it (could just go there in the morning and try to get seen without an appointment, but then I might end up waiting around for ages just to see one of the crappier of the crap doctors there).

Never really thought of it as a ‘thing’ before, but I have actually been getting horrible itching for months. I've been finding cuts in random places since some time last year, and then realised that I was actually scratching myself in my sleep, and eventually while awake (e.g. having to stop whatever I'm doing every minute to get at an itch) albeit not as much. That, plus the fatigue, weight loss (not dramatic, but constant and consistent), and then all the swollen nodes in my neck/collarbone (thought it was just one at first, and then two, but there's a third bad one in the same chain as well), makes it seem like there's something sinister going on.

Might as well just stop thinking about my health and leave it to the professionals to sort it out – even if it's difficult not to think about it when you feel like shit every day and don't know why, and even if it's difficult to take any shitty bottom rung doctors (e.g. GPs) seriously after all the pathetic ****-ups I've heard of, seen, and occasionally even experienced.

I've been to the horror festival here a couple of times but didn't this year (was due to go with someone but didn't wanna see them, didn't have anyone else to go with) - the year before was cool as we were a a bit late and the film we were seeing was sold out but the lead actress from it was there hanging around the box office and said she wasn't using her spare tickets so we could have them.

Defo get some nerdy oddballs there, at the end when they ask questions to the actors/directors there's always one anorak who hogs it and goes on and on!

Does your surgery not do Internet appointment booking?

Do you really want to know - becasue the concept of big brother is a scientific experiment that takes a group of people all seemingly equal and then divdies them into 2 groups - the haves (with power) and the have nots (no power) - the haves are given carte blanche to rule the have nots and from memeory over time their level of cruelty got wors and worse.

Summat like that.

1984 being kinda along a simlar vein with big brother being in chareg / control of your every move

I love big brother - depserate deperados who will do anything for there moment of glory - tres amusing i find

I may sound like a troll but to conquer SA we actually need social exposure not just typing stuff on a forum.
However I'm gonna continue on the forum since I hardly have a clue about what exposures ti do and can't/don't know who to go to for advice in real life.

the lead actress gave you some spare tickets, man that's so cool I said the thing about nerds and oddballs affectionately...I suppose I'm a nerd, I want to go to a horror film festival ffs. And the festivals have q and a's. Awesome. That's what I was hoping, I've seen one or two of those at curzon cinemas, though they were a bit too intellectual and serious, a horror one would be more fun.

And that takes me back to uni lectures! there was always some bloke who'd blather on.

It's not your fault. Beating yourself up about it will only makes things a whole lot harder y'know
