I keep going out and returning an hour or so later to put the Aircon on. I'm travelling tomorrow and it's going to be even hotter (37C compared to 33 here) at my destination.

It is surreal. I was at work, 12.30 I was laughing and joking it wasn’t too hot, then it started getting hot. 28C in the car home.

The storm has finally arrived (two hours late!), lots of thunder, a little bit of lightning and I was about to say, no rain but the first few spots of that just arrived.

It's now below 30C and forecast to stay that way until I leave on Saturday morning.

The rain is absolutely torrential here (in 5-10 minutes' spells, with breaks about the same) and it is now cooler here (26C) than home.

Very unusual warm weather up here in Aberdeen

Temps have hit 25/26C on 4 or 5 days in the last week. Feels warmer than that due to humidity too! Not complaining though as it makes a welcome change, given the crappy summer we've had.

Temps due to plummet back down next week though, so back to normal then..

I've just realised last night I woke up to thunder, where the lightning was right next to the thunder rumble.

Oh yes. Its predicted rain again tonight so Ive cleared the window of all my ...er stuff...but anyway can feel the storm brewing in the air ...
