The women who kill lions.
Not been on long but I want their heads hung over a fireplace already, bleached blonde locks and all! And yes, they're Americans! |

Trying to calm down after surprise midnight neighbour interaction. Some wazzock left the front door on the latch in a house divided into flats so I had to let a couple in, had been in bed so all mad witch hair and squinting as couldn't find my glasses, I mumbled some sort of words, apologised and probably gave them the impression it was me left the latch on.

Sitting feeling shattered and thoughtful.
So my dad was discharged from hospital at midday-ish and just had to call an ambulance out by 9.40pm ish. Less then 24 hours. Not really sure where this is going to end, cause I cannot see this situation working. He cannot walk, why can they (NHS/Social services) not get this through there f**king heads. |

Re: What are you doing right now? (6)
^^
Thanks Guys @Angelica. They have put a care package in place. A carer coming in morning, lunch and bedtime. The problem is they (social services) think he can walk enough to go into the kitchen or go to the loo to do a poo etc (he has a catheter for wee). Tonight I had to help haul him out of his chair to stand and then he tried to walk with his walker. He made it with a struggle to the kitchen but then needed to sit down cause he couldn't stand. Sat for a while then tried to go back to his chair , his right leg stopped working and the left couldn't hold him up. I luckily was there to assist him to the floor (he's too heavy for me to hold him up) but there's no way I could get him up, and when the carer arrived she doesn't do lifting (fair enough). So ambulance crew came out and between the three of us got him up and eventually into bed. They put his night catheter bag on but i've no idea if they've done it right as it doesn't seem to be going through to the 2nd bag. I think I may ring the social worker tomorrow, and carers support for advice. I've also got counselling 2moro and she is pretty in the know about the system too. Ahh Too bed I think. What a life. |

I don't think it matters what I like in a woman and I've experienced sex more than once.
I don't want a serious relationship either. It's all a facking waste of time thinking or talking about it anyway. At 48 though times running out. Meh. |

Sorry to hear you are having to go through all this Mo. I know from experience how draining it can be looking after an elderly/poorly parent Good luck with the phone calls in the morning - I hope that the NHS/social services can provide you and your dad with the help and support that you both need Am tossing and turning in bed and wondering if tonight is going to be a repeat of last night where I didn't sleep a wink. Oh dear. |

Re: What are you doing right now? (6)
Thanks everyone above
Had the carer out the s'morning who found the situation completely unacceptable. We managed to get him sat up with massive difficulty but not out of bed. The catheter had been put on wrong by the ambulance guy (fml), atleast it wasn't me being dumb. Carewatch made some calls and got a GP onside and then called an ambulance to take him back to hospital. He can't go back to Horizon as there are no beds, so East Surrey it is and probably back to Horizon at Horsham when there's a bed free. What an idiotic situation. I have quite the headache and feel a bit sick from lack of sleep. I've now got to face the prospect of getting to and getting from East Surrey hospital which is a arse of a place to get to. SA nightmares galore. |

I feel like that all the time Muggins.
