For me, almost any popular song is like a poke in the testicles with a sharp stick. And not in a good way. But it's egregious use of autotune that really gets my goat, sets it on fire and lets it loose in a crowded building.

Most of what passes for pop music does nothing for me. I sometimes wonder if all the catchy melodies have been discovered and it’s just a case of pick’n’mix nowadays. Mind you, like Affluenza, I used to hate Phil Collins, but now I quite like his stuff. So, who knows, maybe one day (if I live long enough) I’ll grow to appreciate Ed Sheeran, Adele Taylor Swift and Stormzy.

Oh shit, spot on, I despise this song and the people who like it. They play it a lot in sporting events and it drives me crazy. It's like the song was designed for pensioners in bingo halls, it should belong there and nowhere else.

She doesn't sing the song. She literally bellows it, with those repetitive 'New York' lyrics. Right from day one, I've never been able to stand it and it's one of those songs which I have to turn off whenever I hear it.

I remember when it was new, I was in my previous job. It was literally every forth or fifth song on the radio for about a year straight.
