Anyone else miss watching sports?
It's probably the main thing I miss the most during this lockdown. Nothing beats live sports every weekend, following the hype behind it, the buzz, the emotion, etc.

Re: Anyone else miss watching sports?
Miss the football a bit, even if its just mostly stuff like Match of the Day etc.
Stopped going to matches a year or so ago, but was still fairly interested in the game, even if only as an armchair spectator. And now I think about it, I would always watch the Sports Section of News 24, most days too. Watching sports (even if just on the TV/Smartphone etc) did give some sort of structure to the year too, I guess. Alas, now ,Covid 19 is the only game in town ...... |

Yeah I do. I miss the 'buzz' of it. It's made me have a think about what it is I enjoy. When they had a couple of games in empty stadiums it wasn't the same, the atmosphere and crowd is a huge part of the excitement.
On the other hand, I was losing really badly at fantasy football. Even if it was a fun thing to tinker with. |

Re: Anyone else miss watching sports?
Yes,...I used to look forward to watching the fortnightly Formula 1 race,
Can't beat the excitement of the insane speed and skills of those drivers, The first few laps always had me on the edge of my seat, and many others, It could be boring at times,..but it's the one sport I ever really got into in any way, I also sometimes liked the Masters at Augusta Springs, I always found that oddly relaxing. |
