Re: Hi everyone
thanks. Joined too late to go the Richmond Park picnic. Maybe next time. Did many people attend?
Just curious though: Getting a load of SA people together... isn't that kind of... awkward?? (no pun intended!! :D) |

I missed the Richmond Park meet but I've been twice before and both times they were good. Suprisingly it's not awkward of I haven't noticed it be, I guess just depends how you feel on the day. There's no pressure for anyone to talk or made to feel uncomfortable. The times I went we all met at Richmond Station, hung there for a while in case people were late. In that time you can introduce yourself or smile and wave...we all leave together for the park and while your walking usually you chat to whoever is close by you, if not you walk with everyone...in the park we play games...card games, frisbee, football...etc. Some of us went to a pub afterwards. This meet always has good feedback I think and usually 20 or so people go. It's once a year and I saw familiar faces, some of them said they go every year.... Anyhoo sorry for rambling and again welcome to the site! GG x |
