Hurt my heels a few weeks back and I need to rest my feet as much as possible which means most of the exercises I usually do aren't possible. ( I don't have a bench) I really need a good workout but I'm running out of ideas of things to do...

I've got a rowing machine and dumbbells. Just do different regimes using them. I've never wanted to join a gym tbh. I do want to start playing 5a side again but currently too many issues in the way

May go for the 180kg deadlift today, if I feel strong enough. I'll probably fail if I do go for it, but if I got it I'd probably celebrate like some stereotype, roid monkey jock.

If I'd gone for another rep I would have been booked onto a first class train to Snap City.

Thank you!

I think I'll stick at 180 for a bit, though. I need start getting used to that sort of weight.

theres different types of yoga, some are more intense but i kinda think maybe most are about sort of making your body work better, so there'll be stuff about relaxation and good posture and so on.

i did go to a couple of yoga classes. as one sa sufferer to another, be ready to be the only male in a group of 40 women, and have them do stuff like this

right in your face. it might just make you anxious, but on the other hand it could be just the exposure exercise you are looking for. only you will know if you are ready for the challenges this will present.

Was going for a 140kg squat pb, but ended up doing 2 reps. Solid reps, too, and below parallel. I have no idea where that came from...

Over the years, I realised that exercise has to be be enjoyable and part your lifestyle. Anything too boring/exhausting/too challenging does not last.
So a year ago, I started 3 different exercise classes:
Pilates, indoors cardio walk, and outdoor nordic walking.
Really enjoy the cardio with music and enjoy the benefits of Pilates classes. Outdoors is lovely...but it has been a cold winter (not so enjoyable).
But yes, a year on I'm still doing it, still enjoying it and occasionally do my own bits at home when I feel better...
If I was still working full time, I'm not so sure I would have been able to keep it up though, fun or no fun!

^ Although I'm still a 18 thats why I would hate for my job to be my life, yes you get more money for working more but I can't see how one would enjoy the other pleasures of life. If I worked a very high amount of hours that my job was my life style I wouldnt feel proud like some do but rather burdened.

Does anyone do some sort of facial exercise? I never used to bother 'cause my neck was never really a problem tbh, but I started doing it anyway to see if it'd change anything and now my chin is kinda.. different. Definitely see that it's skinnier.
Someone said chewing gum helps as well but never been sure about that.

My facial exercise usually consists of looking upwards a lot and giving the air a few swift kisses and moving my neck + head in a circle.

Just curious, seeing as you say you've increased your deadlift by 20kg in 2 months, what your height and weight are at currently and how long you have been training for?

I'm 6ft, about 185lbs. Been training solidly for about 8 months now. I always had more in me, as I was sticking at 160 for a while, hence the recent rapid increase, I feel.

I try to stick to my wee routine everyday (maybe the odd day off)
After work, I tend to walk the dog, have some tea and then I do 30 minutes of my cross trainer and then roughly 20 mins off jogging.
I try to use my Davina Mccall workout kit (which is fab for the ladies) a lot too, trying to work on my stomach more at the moment so bring on the crunches.
xx

Enrolled in a gym and started going on a regular basis even though it makes me super anxious (so I end up hiding on the cardio machines )

Any tips/recommendations for beginners?
