Default Helful Advice

I was wondering if people could possibly post what good / helpful advice they've got from here, it may help others again somewhere else.

mine have been :

people posting about visiting their Doctor about their SA,..
where I suddenly thought,.."why the f#@k haven't I done that,...lol
(I now have my first Counselling session scheduled for next week.)

Aurora Sky posted me a link to a Glasgow-based anxiety help / support group
which has helped me a lot
I've now been to two six-week seesions so far,..one for Stress control,..one for curing depression using CBT

people posting about how much they've enjoyed meets,...so started going to a few. ( thanks for all those people who organise meets )
I think I've now been to about 10 so far this year.

POF profile thread in 'penpals' section,..great idea to start trying this,..has helped me a lot with my SA and self-esteem issues so far.
I've now been on 6 dates so far,...which I'm sure is helping me get over a lot of SA issues,..

I'm sure there's more,.....

Hope your counselling goes well. I had some counselling which was really hard at the time as I'm not very good at shaing stuff with inquisitive strangers but in hindsight was the beginning of the start of my current progress.

I've been to a number of meets this year all of which I have enjoyed and at some time in the past someone posted a link to a Mindfulness and Acceptance Study which I applied for and found really helpful.

Also, on the few occassions I have dared to start a thread having a few people respond has made me feel I have something worth saying. Not advice as such but a welcome boost to my confidence.

yes Woo,..
I think there's a lot of people getting help from this site, but it's not often talked about or properly appreciated and recognised.
thanks for sharing.
