They're all shite where I live. Too expensive and too old, but the only one worth getting is the X2.

Well, we only have one choice:

1980s garbage that probably isn't even road-legal.

101 - Maidstone to Gillingham (thankfully I don't go that far) ...with many a pretty girl on board too!!

That's an old pic though...it's every 15 minutes (except over Christmas when its pot luck when it turns up ) and they have orange digital displays these days.

Ooh, yes I like the K4. I get that quite a lot, just wish it ran more often. I also like the E7 in Ealing. Quite like the 465 too, but prefered it before it changed it's route.

I like the current Kingston buses as they talk to you! When I go on buses in other areas they don't seem to talk. (If people don't know what I'm talking about I'm sure I sound like some crazy person who talks to buses! )

That sounds like the new buses. The new buses in Kingston are like trains and they tell you where you are when you approach each stop so it's now easy to know where you're going. But I admit it can get annoying. They also say things like 'Please take all litter with you' and 'CCTV is in operation' and 'please move up the bus'.

Ah the 465, another great bus. I usually get it to go to Dorking for a bit of a change, not often to go into Kingston. I try and avoid the 71, but sometimes I can be seen on it.

I like the 3A or 3 in Leeds, mainly because it takes me home, The 36 to Harrogate is quite good as well.

No doubt it'll be privatised in a few years, and will then feature ancient filthy buses, a reduced timetable and extortionate prices.
Hence why our buses are ancient, filthy, 80s monstrosities, that probably aren't even road legal, with high fares.

I'm jealous now.

What annoys me most is when a "park and ride" scheme appears. It wont take plebs like me (who don't own a car) but all the buses are brand spanking new! That I can never get my head around, surely they're investing in the wrong place.

The 46A. Newish, clean, accessible buses, extremely high frequency (a bus every four minutes) and low fares. No doubt it'll be privatised in a few years, and will then feature ancient filthy buses, a reduced timetable and extortionate prices.

Hey Ray! You from Dun Laoghaire? Was gonna stick the 46A on here meself! Jeez thats the cleanest one I've ever seen!

Don`t take it very often, but I quite like the 371. It takes a weird roundabout suburban route between Richmond and Kingston, which is quite amusing. It`s operated by very bumpy single deckers, some of them have that automatic next stop announcement as well.

I used to be quite into buses when I was younger. The Bristol RE (that's the make and model) was my favourite bus. They were very well built and incredibly reliable. I made many a school journey on one.

I live 5 minutes from Leeds (Wakefield is a bargain-land, by comparison) and I can get to Wakey in 20 minutes on a good bay from where I live, on this bus. It was recently temporarily renamed the 'Jonathan Ross bus', but I've forgotten why (he visited the bus station, and it was in all the local papers & that.)

A leviathan of a bus.
