Why is Banned, whom I've sure has been here for years under various names, allowed to have his own user status while no-one else on the board can? Is he an admin/mod or not? And why can't everyone set their own user status here like on some other forums anyway, what harm could it do? Oh and I've reported some things today that the mods surely need to fix, but they havn't yet done so, while you've removed whole threads from the lounge for moderation.
Please don't just PM me if you're going to answer this,
don't the members have a right to know.

It was a jokey response by an admin to a thread he made ages ago. We've now reset it to member to avoid confusion.

We don't feel user-set statuses are needed, as I'm sure we've said when you've raised it in the past. In terms of individual customisation, users can set their own location, write a bio, have a blog and have a mood, plus have avatars, profile pictures and signatures.

With reported posts, less urgent issues will typically get dealt with at a later date and more serious issues like the one from the lounge will be dealt with more quickly. We will get back to you in due course.

Oh right, thanks. It certainly can take a while to sort out a thread that needs multiple edits or deletes, issue infractions and so on.

Obviously I can only talk for myself here, but I don't much appreciate being told what I surely need to fix. The points you raised in your reports had actually occurred to me as the posts were published. Occurred and dismissed. Sorry if this goes against your opinions, but that's basically where I'm at.

Oh I could have phrased it a bit differently, sorry. Yes of course people constantly have different opinions on things like that.
