South Snowdonia.

Cheap and easy to get there and it's closest national park for me to get to.

Cool. That's not far from me. We've driven around Snowdonia, but believe it or not, didn't find Snowdon! It was our first time exploring the area and didn't really know where we were going. We have vowed to get some camping gear and make the most of being so close to it. But it's quite pricey to get decent stuff isn't it. Although you sound pretty hardcore. My last hardcore camping experience was guide camp about 25 years ago,) with giant spiders in the toilet tents in a forest in the pitch black and cleaning porta loos. So I think I'm more of a glamping with a bbq kinda girl. Like the idea of the wilderness but hate the cold.

Lol I'm not remotely hard core and would wild glamp as much as possible if I could afford to.

I've got some highly rated and well priced gear, that's cost me about $£350-400.

Last campsite I went to had bogs plastered with giant house spider btw.
