I feel too bonkers to follow the news, so I've stopped. News just makes me feel more bonkers.

Whether to get myself out this afternoon or just stay in due the this excessive heat.

Also thinking air-conditioning at home would be nice.

I want to book a holiday, since I have a fortnight off work in less than two weeks. I can't decide what I really want to do though. The thought of going anywhere alone doesn't really appeal, but beats being sat at home or at work. Group holidays aren't any better, so what does that really leave me? Basically if I'm going to be miserable no matter what, how can I win? I hate fighting against my own stubborn mind like this.

The alogrithm that underlies Spotify's guesses at music you'll like is soooooooooo much better than Apple Music's.

I've noticed I do far less drunk posting these days. I think it would be good if your mood when posting was tied to the post, at least people would realise it when reading and I'd feel less inclined to delete them

Spotify think I’d like Puddle of Mudd and Nickleback because I like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam etc. Therefore their algorithm is shit.

Glad to be home. It really is too hot out there.

Spoke to the garage owner . The work he did was fine and he thinks that if he did it again I would just have the same problem. He was talking about something like a broken broc??? which I got him to translate to as a crack in the engine that he can't see. I do think he's right sadly.

He's given me the options of them putting in a 2nd hand engine which will be 600/700 ish pounds at cost. Or he has a a car that he runs around in which is well looked after and has just been MOT'd which he could let me have for £300 a fiat or a clio or something. Mostly because if all the money I've already spent. It's automatic tho.

God I hate dealing with cars.

Is he giving you a big discount on the runabout car? Have you seen it? How old? miles on the clock, etc. ? Automatics are easy btw.

Thanks

No I haven't seen it yet, but he's told me I'm welcome to come and have a look. He has said he doesn't want to push me into anything. I'm waiting to hear back from him about the cost of an engine at the min. I do think there might be more things on the verge of being wrong with my car tbh (possibly the suspension), so i'm kind of tempted by his car offer, depending of course on what it's like, condition etc...
Dunno tho.
Yeah he said automatics are just lazy driving (which sounds good to me )

Yeah, I know what you mean. He does have a good rep locally and I do think he's fairly decent as it goes.
I dunno, all of it's a gamble I suppose...

^ That sounds awful. I don't know the situation with your partner, but it sounds abusive. You have every right to be upset.
