Yes, I unfortunately have Covid atm.

It started with a bit of a sore throat for a couple of days, then on Christmas Day not long after I got up I felt really faint and lightheaded, and also freezing cold. Went back to bed for a few hours after that. Now I'm on day 4 and although I don't feel as dreadful as I did on Christmas Day I still feel pretty unwell; runny nose, muzzy head/headache, coughing a bit on and off, and generally quite low energy levels - I can do one or two little things then I need a rest again. Oh, and now my poor mum who I live with has caught it off me too

I had that nasty cold which was going around a few weeks ago, but seem to be over the worst of it now. I just cracked on with it and worked my way through it - although it was pretty tough going for the first few days.

The only thing I'm suffering from at the moment is a bit of acid reflux - completely self-inflicted from the usual over-eating/drinking at Christmas...

No...only the back pain over Christmas that was caused by a thing I've been living with for 2 years. They won't fully remove them because they're not harmful or dangerous.

Yes. Does anyone know what's going on? I've been ill for 10 days. It is probably worse than covid. Definitely worse for my son, he never suffered during any illnesses so badly.
Everyone in the family had either swollen eye, or sticky stuff quickly filling the eye, which is then harder to open and needs to be washed off. Cough, runny nose, fever, headaches, chills, hot... the test shows no covid.

Never a flu or a cold was so bad to me... This is by far the worst cold / flu-like illness since I can remember.

^ it's rough, isn't it! Hope your family and you are feeling better soon, Boy. I rang the doc after 10 days. It might be worth you doing the same - especially for your little one. 111 is the number to call for out of hours.

This morning I typed up five deaths from yesterday, that were covid related.

For five people to die on the same day is unusually high, I typically see on average maybe 1 a day. Some days with 0.

It's the reason I still wear a mask when out.

There also appears to be a stronger version of the flu going around, which several of my colleagues have described as being worse than covid (having experienced it themselves)

Yip, that's me got it as well now, what a horrible night in bed that was last night,

Covid seems to mess with my thinking,
The same thing happened the last time I had it,
My brain seems to stick on one or two words and keeps circling them constantly all through the night, it drives me nuts
(especially as they were both Spanish words )

Other than that, it just seems to be another typical dose of the cold, although I seem a lot more achey than usual for a cold.

Oh yes, much better thank you! It was so strange, it felt like I had a golf ball blocking my throat and it was all swollen and weird, like I was constantly gasping! I had it for a few weeks. Then was okay for a week. Then it came back exactly the same. It stopped just before Christmas, thankfully!!

@Pinklady - I'm well thank you, but my ears are playing up at the moment.

@Percy I'm trying to book an appointment for microsuction but would have to travel for an hour and I'll be so nervous! They do it at spec savers but I don't trust them for some reason - hope no one here works at spec savers!

That must be really annoying having such a persistent cough,
