^ I know what you mean, we live in a bad area too and it really doesn't help.
Hope you're ok.

Sad and anxious.
Today is my eldest Grandson's 5th birthday, I've not seen them for about 6 months now.
Anxious because my son often picks one of the kids' birthdays to kick off and I'm scared of him coming round starting something.
I've had nightmares about it the last few nights.

@ Azalea - I echo all that Jinny has said above. Its an awful situation for you to be having to cope with Azalea
I hope that your son doesn't kick off today and make things as difficult for you as you fear. Grown ups can be so petty and childish
I imagine the BEST present your grandson could receive for his 5th birthday is to be reunited with his beloved nan. You deserve your own little Christmas miracle Azalea

^^ I hope everything went well and you manage to see your grandchildren soon. I think it's very sad that your son stops you from seeing his children.

Get a job/ career, really. Working from home can be isolating, but as an avoidant, it's easy to make excuses.

Ever since I've turned 30 (all the way back to last year..was it last year )

I tend to start to freak out once the new year begins about my incoming birthday (end of march) ..it's already happening, its getting worse every year, jesus christ I'm 32 not 95. It was a full blown break down this year, I had to go hide somewhere incase I burst into tears in front of work colleagues ..what the hell

It seems I "Always" have to be freaking out/worrying about SOMETHING 24/7 365 days a year. It's so bloody draining, my 10 days off for xmas are half gone and I'm still feeling knackered, I sleep for 4-5hrs then force myself up because I freak out how quick the days go.

I wish I could just....stop, I don't think I've got SA..It feels more like GAD, its killing me

^ Are you feeling any better now?

I feel like I***8217;m sinking into something unpleasant
I feel stupid and ashamed of being me, it***8217;s like the more I try to interact with people, the more of a weird, outcast, loser I feel. I honestly don***8217;t know how much of it is just in my head. I***8217;m sick of feeling so inferior and different.

Tired but OK. I weirdly felt for the first time in ages and ages a bit like the old me. Not that i'm ever sa free but for a period of time it didn't affect me quite so much and I kind of felt connected to the world a little bit more. I felt a little bit like that today. It must show in how I act towards others too. Because I find ppl treat me differently or act more positively to me (possibly my imagination mind you).

I ran into one of my neighbours this afternoon as well. The one who took a parcel in for me the other week. As I saw her in the distance I was inwardly thinking 'cross the road, must avoid' but outwardly thought 'shit!, too obvious i'm just gonna have to say hello and hope for the best'. As it went she stopped and was chatting away merrily (for a long time all she's done is ignore me or give me the evils) now she wants me to come over for a cup of tea . That's the 2nd person to invite me for a cuppa in the last few days (someone form volunteering), maybe I am improving after all

^Happy birthday to you!

This is also my first time posting here as a 30 year old. My birthday was last year but I haven't been posting since.

I'm feeling decidedly mature. My teenage sales assistant has complained to hr so my line manager came to see me and I think I handled the situation like a boss and came out on top.

Aw man I also missed my 10 year Sauk-iversary in my absence.

^I don't normally visit this thread, but saw your name and came to investigate; has it really been a year since you last posted? Welcome to the oldies club (although I'm fast approaching the 81 when I'll have to leave!).

@Skitz, happy birthday and welcome to the club; I hope you're enjoying your evening and the swim wasn't too cold!

Like I've wasted my life. Worrying about complete nonsense and next week is one of those rare family get togethers where I'll be forced to justify my lack of material wealth to all and sundry. Whoot.

Crap.
